    Paste wax. I don't know what I'm doing.

    I'm using Nu Finish soft paste wax. I know, it's not the best product. But my problem has to do with application and technique. I use a Meguiar's round foam applicator, dampened with water. My problems- 1. It seems more wax is being caked onto the foam than is being applied to the car...

    Darker paint trashed faster?

    I have a dark charcoal 2007 lexus and a silver 2002 lexus. The 2007 gets washed and cared for more, and gets waxed often. 2002 gets neglected. Both are parked outside 24/7. But, the roof and trunk of the 2007 is micro pitted already, whereas the neglected 2002 is still shiny and smooth...

    How to remove chalky residue from old rubber trim ?

    old rubber trim around the doors have chalky residue. This is not wax or dressing. No wax or dressing has ever touched this rubber trim. It's just old. I tried some rubber protectant, and rubbed it in a little, but it does not get the chalky stuff off.

    Pledge spray. Ok for dashboard ?

    Pledge furniture spray is it safe for dashboard top plastics? Last i read, pledge has some silicone in it. What kind of damage does silicone do exactly ? my 2007 dashboard is getting a little dull, and i want to restore a little wee bit of sheen to it.

    painted over a small rusted rock chip.

    had a small rock chip with a little bit of rust at the base, less than 2mm in size. i cleaned it with degreaser to get whatever dirt and grime out, but didn't get rid of the little bit of rust. since the chip is small, I didn't think the rust was a big deal, so I painted directly over it...
