    Need Pro in Burbank/Glendale area

I'm looking for a trustworthy shop in the San Fernando Valley area (Burbank/Glendale/N. Hollywood, CA) that could do a seamless job for small "spot" repaint on my hood. Thanks, Mitch

    Factory vs. repaint?

My 4mo old RSX has a dime-sized spot etched in the hood from some kind of very acidic bird poo or sap. The clearcoat is gone, and the underlying paint has micro-crinkles in it (as well as a few VERY tiny spots where the paint is completely gone). I'm left with a hazy spot that is slighlty off...

    Sap etched clearcoat, what next?

I had a large spot of rusty red sappy material on my hood from parking under a tree, and by the time I tried to rinse it off (about 2 days later), it left some serious damage. After softening with water and getting the majority of it off, I realized some of the paint had already begun to crack...

    Polished, micro-scratches remain!

I just finished hand polish/wax on my wife's '04 black accord. Was hoping to get rid of some fine micro-scratches on the hood (probably due to debris and terry towels during drying by a washing service she used to use). I used 1Z PP by hand with a cotton terry applicator, wiping off with a...

    1Z on new car?

I've got some 1Z Paint Polish I'm planning to use on my wife's black accord that has some fine micro scratches. Will be claying first, then finishing up with meg #16 wax. I also have a 1mo old silver RSX, which has not been waxed yet. The paint is in great shape, and I was wondering if I...

    Clay before Meg #9?

I'm planning to use Meg #9 on my wife's 4mo old black accord to help reduce some fine micro-scratches (result of washing service drying with terry towels). This car has not been waxed or polished since purchase, and I was wondering if I should CLAY it before using the #9 polish. Will be doing...

    remove micro-scratches by hand?

My wife's black '04 accord has lots of microscratches, which I assume resulted from a car wash service she used a few times that dried with cotton terry towels. Now I'm going to be washing it from now on and using the proper materials...but first, I want to try and reduce these scratches...

    cleaner wax on new car?

Is it a bad idea to use a cleaner wax (such as meguiars #6 or mother's) on a brand new car? I want something that will give me the easiest way to maintain my car's finish without too much time investment. Just wondering if the cleaner/polish combos might be too abrasive for a new finish...

    are new cars waxed?

I recently bought a new acua rsx. I was curious if most new cars should be waxed right away, or if they are usually waxed at the dealer. Thanks, Mitch

Interior cleaner that's not too shiny?

I'm looking for a good interior vinyl/plasic cleaner/protectant, but prefer one that isn't overly wet and glossy looking. I'm hearing good things about both Lexol Vinylex and Meguiar's #40. Also wondering how well the new NXT stuff works. Thanks, Mitch

    MF mitt or wool?

I'm needing a good washmit, and most people seem to prefer lambswool. However, the ease of cleaning and durability of MF mitts really appeals to me. Does anyone here have one they recommend? How about this one? http://www.properautocare.com/ulmiwami.html Thanks, Mitch

    Easiest quality wax/polish?

What would you guys say is the best all around wax or polish for those of use who don't want to spend forever detailing? Not looking for super-gloss...just a nice clean, shiny finish. Klasse All-in-One sounds like the ticket, but I've also read good things about Meguiar's #6 and #26. I like...
