    Couple of DA questions...

I've got an older PC 7424. I've been noticing lately (doesn't seem it used to be this bad) that it's not very difficult to get into a situation where it stops rotating. Typically, this is when I don't have it perfectly flat on a surface, for example when correcting headlights, but it also...

    KBM with Flex 3401 anyone?

There may already be a thread on this somewhere, but if so I couldn't find it. Is anyone using the KB method with the Flex 3401? Seems all the posts I've read about it are using either the PC, UDM, or G110. Just curious.

    EagleOne on sale at AutoZone

Just came from my local AutoZone and they had "Your choice" Eagle One products for $3.99. Limit 5 per day per customer. This included A2Z Wheel/Tire Cleaner in the 26oz trigger spray bottle.

    Authorized Meguiars Service Center

This place just opened near where I live. They've been putting flyers on cars in nearby parking lots that include a coupon for a free car wash. Their flyers indicate that they are an "Authorized Meguiars Service Center". I didn't know there was such a thing. CTX Automotive Specialties

    Makita D Handle

Does anyone know a good place to get a D handle for the Makita 9227? I picked up a 9227 on a sale, but it didn't have the handle with it. This place has the lowest price I've found so far... Makita 9227C Parts List and Diagram : eReplacementParts.com Also, I'm assuming I'm going to...

    Baking Plate for Makita

Decided to take the rotary plunge, and picked up a Makita. I have 6.5" and 5.5" Lake Country pads on hand from my PC, and wanted to start with those initially to keep my costs down. Autogeek carries the Lake Country 4-3/4" rotary backing plate and the Meguiars 5" rotary backing plate...

    Running Boards

What do you use to dress the rubber or plastic treads on running boards on trucks/SUVs? I tried Armor All, but even after a good wipedown it leaves the running boards dangerously slippery.

    Pad Confusion

What's the difference between the Lake Country CCS Grey, Blue, & Red pads? The descriptions I've seen for all 3 say they have no cut and are intended to be used to apply waxes and sealants.

    Blue painter's tape

I have a roll of the 1" 3M blue painter's tape from Home Depot. Every time I've used it on a vehicle, it has left major tape adhesive residue behind when I peel it off. Then I have to spend a significant amount of time cleaning the residue off the vehicle. Has anyone else had this problem...

    Eagle One and Wal Mart

Looks like my local Wal Mart has decided not to carry Eagle One products any more. BUMMER. They always had the best local prices on A2Z wheel cleaner. :(

    Easy on/off wax question

Before I really got into detailing and got a PC, etc., the paint on my 95 Camry had gotten to the point where no matter what wax I tried, it was a pain to put on and take off. I guess the paint was oxidized or something and any wax would just adhere and I'd just about kill myself trying to...

    Kevin Brown Method Question

I've been on the verge of stepping up from the PC to a Makita rotary or at the very least to the Flex, but then started reading all the press on the Kevin Brown Method, and am now wondering if I really need/want to do that. What's the general consensus among the people that have used KBM? Is...

    Megs #83

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I didn't have much luck with the search function. Are there many folks out there using Megs #83 these days? For anyone using it with a PC 7424, what's your process? What pads are you using? Are you following it with something else like Megs #82...

    Eurow Mitts

I bought one of the Eurow sheepskin mitts at Wal Mart for doing ONR washes. This is my first sheepskin. I thought it seemed really good for the first few washes, and was going to stock up on a few more since they're only $6 but then it started shedding like crazy. Wool fuzz everywhere...
