I actually applied some to two cars last week!
My daughter and son-in-law were wanting something they could apply to their cars that was really easy to apply, durable, and behaved like a coating. The one spray sealant I knew for sure would probably work for them was PNS.
While I have used several coatings myself, I'm not a pro and don't have access to pro-level products, so I'll leave recommendations of a product to those guys.
One thing I would caution is regarding your comment about "great abrasion protection". This will be minimal at best for any coating...
I might have to try the Koch Chemie product. Right now I use Blackfire's Mat Cleaner and Protectant and I'm not totally happy with it. It does a pretty good job as an AIO-like product, but It doesn't give the a like-new look (or at least freshy dressed) like you see in the pictures above.
I...
I think this comes down to how much you want to spend and how much time and effort you want to put in it.
Since the car is new and good shape you could do a one-step polish that would remove any swirls from the factory/dealership and leave you with a really nice finish. If you are wanting to...
Add me to the list of Griots BOSS fans.
I have a G15 and a G8 polishers and really like them. I started down the detailing road with an old HF polisher which was fine, but looking back I wish I would have started with a better polisher like whatever Griots equivalent was to the G9, back then...
From a practicality and simplicity point, I'd stick with one coating. The layers are microscopically thin and the top layer is typically the one that affects the appearance.
Of the handful of coatings I've used, I found Gyeon's to look the best. Their Pure EVO tends to have a more wax-like...
That's a tow loop to be used any time you need to drag the car from the front, even if it simply putting it on a tow truck after a mechanical failure.
Depending on the track and the event organizers, some places mandate tow hooks/loops be in place even for an HPDE (i.e. track day). Since...
I haven't tried since the platform change, but for a long time it was the only way I was able to upload photos to the forums. I have it on my phone only for that purpose.
Thanks. The car was previously coated and I'll be coating it again after I'm done.
In case anyone is following along, I ended up getting some LC Black HDO pads. I got a lot of great recommendations here, but last week Detailed Image was running a sale on pads. After the sale price, a coupon...
This is a good point. When traveling across the wooded parts of Missouri and Oklahoma, or the cornfields of Illinois at night in the summer the number of bugs encountered are staggering. Everything from clouds of small critters that will completly cover a windshield in pin-sized splatters...
I sat in on an AI discussion panel at work yesterday. Corruption of the data both accidental or deliberate was one of the threats they discussed. AI is only as good as the data sets it uses.
I remember a couple of years ago, someone developed an AI chatbot on Twitter that would interact with...
The car looks great!
Are those stripes painted on or stickers? I don't think I've seen anything like those on a 911. Normally if they have any type of graphics its the factory GT graphics or the Gulf Oil livery.
I think the Everyday Driver guys talked to Nick or Richard about the history of the restoration business on one of their podcasts a few years ago. It followed the release of a video a drive in a couple of the cars from the Griot's collection. Griots is one of Everyday Driver's main sponsors...
