    Cut in polishing pad

Today I had the pleasure of polishing 1960 Chevy for a friend of ours. But I ended up getting to close to a sharp edge and put a cut in the face of my polishing pad that I was using. The cut isn't very deep but it is at an angle and causes that portion of the pad face to peel back when you rub...

    Clearkote Question

I have been using Clearkotes VM, RMG, and CMW more and more because those products are so easy to use, give great results and don't stain trim. But now it is time to find a more agressive polish. My car had to be repainted after a hail storm and I have swirl marks that came with the new paint...

Judging how much wax to use?

This past week I tried for the first time applying wax with a pc and a finishing pad. The first thing I noticed was how the machine is able to lay down an even, thin layer of wax so much better than I ever did by hand. The second thing I noticed was the finish seemed to be wetter as well as have...

    RMG, polishing pad?

As I have been reading, most people use a finishing pad when using Clearkote's RMG. I was wondering if anyone uses a polshing pad with RMG, or is that too agressive of a pad for this product? I have been using Megs 8006 polshing pads with good luck, but I was interested in trying Lake Country...

    Question about CMW

A few weeks ago I detailed a co-workers weekend warrior for him, 05 Mustang. I used RMG and CMW for the first time on it. It turned out good enuff, that now, his dad and wife want me to detail thier cars. But unlike the Mustang, these cars will be driven daily in all sorts of weather. I was...

    Insulator wax durability

A question for those of you who have used Megs #16 and Collinite's 845 and 476. Did you notice much differance in durability, and if so, how much, weeks months? I have been thinking about trying some Collinite, but wondering if it lasts much longer than Megs #16. Thanks for the help in advance.

    Opinions on #26 & CMW

I have used #26 on a couple of vehicles lately, and it has really surprised me on how good it looks. I mainly bought it because it was on sale and I needed something to put on some friends cars (freebies). It had such a nice look that I ended up putting a coat on one of our cars last week. And...

    Need help deciding

It is time to purchase a lo or no abrassive polish . I really like the deep wet look Meguiars #80 has, and I use it to get rid of swirls when needed, then top with whatever wax my hand reaches for that day.. But their are times when I don't need an abrassive polish, just want to add some depth...

    NXT and a PC

Has anyone noticed differant results by applying NXT by PC versus applying by hand. I plan on using it on a car that will be clayed, and polished with #80 using a PC and a polishing pad. Just curious if it makes any differance how I apply NXT. Thanks:)

    Reflections and #20

I have been using Mothers Reflections for a few months now and have been very happy with the results I have got on our two cars. Since I started coming to this sight I have read many favorable posts on Meguiars #20. I was curious if anybody has used both Reflections and #20,and if so, how did...
