Ok I have a 05 harley f250 with chrome caps over the mirrors. I want to pull the caps off but don't know how to remove the adhesive from the textured plastic. I tried some goo gone citrus gell and it didn't really seem to budge. Is there anything i could use? Is 3m adhesive remover safe on plastic?

I have an 05 Harley Davidson F-250 with chrome covers over the side mirrors and I want them removed. It seems like the present owner might have glued them on cause there is slight amount of glue on the sides. How would i remove the glue from the plastics?

Can i use my ccs foam pads from my PC on my rotary buffer without messing the pads up? Also what size backing plate should i get i think there the 6.5 pads.
