I've heard good things about top of the lines prep wash, was wondering if anyone has a list or some more prep washes they'd recommend to totally strip a car of wax and other silicones.
Tried some 1z leather conditioner out on my G8,...not so good. Anyone know what I can use thatll strip it completely? I used some Meguiars APC with a leather brush and it did help but I can still see traces oh the white on the black leather.
I dont know which section to put this in ... but are there dents too small for this to work? Someone opened their car door and me and left a ripple, its hard to notice and/or capture by camera...Ill try again at night with a hand held light source.
But does anyone here do paintless dent...
I have an 09 Pontiac G8, the first few months I enjoyed the rain x/aqua-pel like chemical that was on my wind shield, it repelled rain well and kept the wipers from chattering...now it doesn't work so well and it makes it a horror to try and see out of at night. First I tried a white and orange...
Tips on how to use this? I got some marks on my windshield, don't know if its etching or film but I used this stuff on a white pad with my pc at speed 6 and it barely removed anything...when I wet the windshield back down I could see the water beading where the wipers don't touch the windshield...
Ok...so I got my new AG shipment, decided to open everything up and smell the products (please don't tell me Im the only one who does this) and put my nose close to the bottle and zap, I got a little shock...thought it was really weird. But I opened it again a few minutes later and put my finger...
Ok recently polished my G8 really quick and applied Meg's #16 by hand but I did it with the car relatively warm (black paint) and it left hologramming...thought it was the polishing perhaps but I ipa'ed it and the holograms started disappearing.
Im thinking maybe I would have better luck with...
I have a Mitsubishi Evolution, I removed the badges and the wing the other day so I polished / compounded the trunk to remove the ghosting...I used a 5.5 orange pad with Optimum Compound and it cleaned everything up nicely but I could see micro marring, I guess due to how many passes/pressure I...
Recently I did an 08 VW Jetta...and got my but kicked, I used a 6in orange and then yellow pad with HiTemp Extreme Cut/Magnum 357 on it and just knocked down the swirls. I was really figuring if I worked slow and used good pressure I would get 90% correction no problem...but this wasn't the...
I keep trying to buy new types of products to keep my Evo looking new since its not my dd anymore and sits open in the driveway all day...trying to find products that will keep it looking new since the sun beats down on it all day. With that said...how is Plexus? I read the review of what the...
Tried putting in a search for glass polish but obviously it didn't help me narrow down glass polishes, just anytime glass and polish appeared in the same thread lol. Was looking for something to polish windshield glass with, instead of going to steel wool or when vinegar doesn't cut it.
Just picked up my new daily driver, a G8 with the leather/sports package...Ive never really come across the type of leather / dash material in this car...wondering what to use for dressing. I traditionally use Poorboys leather stuff and Poorboys natural look dressing/Meguiars quick interior...
Kinda weird question I guess, but a customer of mine gets his VW serviced at the dealer and supposedly gets lemon scented windshield wiper fluid when he brings it in...he recently asked me if I could source any but I haven't heard or seen any such product...have any of you guys seen anything...
I know this has been beaten to death around here, but I bought tons of vroom microfibers and after numerous washes I don't feel they are plush enough to buff polish/wax off my paint anymore...so I am asking what brand I should look into. (I also noticed my older Meguiars towels do a better job...
I usually wrap a mf towel around a toothbrush end or something, but my Forester has what looks like years of scratches and gunk around them...any secrets/tools that I can clean up the paint around them? I know I can't get any swirl removal that close to them but I guess I'll settle for cleaning...
