Full outer detailing done!

Well I did the first full outer detailing on my car since I bought it 2 years ago. Pics below show how it came out. I used dishwashing soap, then kerosene (lots of tire rubber on my car), then clay, then Premium car car cleaner polisher, then UPP.

Also thanks to MattS on this board for all the tips of products and processes to use to make this car shine.

The finish isn't perfect, but this car has around 1400 road race track miles on it, which can be pretty tough on a finish. With average lap speeds of 80+ mph, 120+mph top speeds, and lots of racing rubber, the finish takes a beating.

Car looks great nice job makes you want to take a drive. I did a 97 Corba Stang last week, what a power house for a car.

I have a thread with the pics if you are interested in pro-detailing area.

Very nice....bet I't even runs faster now too;) :D

I like that shade of green too! Is it a stock color?
I'll see if it runs faster in a couple of weeks :p

The paint is stock, called Electric Green. I think they only sold it from 99 to 02, as it started out popular but faded quickly and Ford discontinued it. The number of Mustang GT's like mine with Electric Green and the tan/brown interior are pretty rare - only in the hundreds.
