Insurance Work

Beemerboy

Just One More Coat
A freind/ customer recently had a grass fire at his place and the warehouse where he stores some vintage cars got a small amount of smoke damage. Anyway I did a quick wipe down with S&W and they looked pretty good. Then he asked for a formal quote on the cars, about 6 total for the insurance company. I put the cars at about $450 to $600 depending on what I thought needed to be done.
The insurance company did not blink an eye at the price and called me to say that they are cutting me the checks and to start the work.
I'll be taking pics as I go threw the rides but it amazes me the amount that insurance compaines are willing to pay for work that I at times feel like I'm begging for.

I did give my name and number to the fire restoration guy in case he runs into any other cars that need this work.

I had the same experience....insurance said they will pay out $75 to clean 3 spots off of a seat from a gel tab that broke on a upholstered seat and melted slightly in the sun. No vacuuming or anything just the 3 spots. I understand why my insurance is so high now!

I had the same thoughts about this. The rest of the tap to os the landscaping is over 85K in looking at it its not that bad.
