A special prayer for a special member

Thank you everyone for the words of encouragement, I believe that times like this are what set DC apart from the other forums out there. We're like a big family, and I truly appreciate the kind thoughts and all you will be in our prayers as well. Once I have a definative (sp?) answer than I will tell ya'll about it, if my experience can help someone else than maybe this will be a blessing in disguise :dunno :kneel

thanks again

Get well, ellort and remember that God is with you especially in your hard moments. In Serbia we have one sentence:"Think good, and the good shall come to you." Remember that and come back ASAP.

Prayers from Serbia&Montenegro.

Eric...

We are all pulling for you ! We miss you here at DC and hope that you are well again soon ! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

ok, i will try to give a quick summary here.

About 8 wks ago I noticed an irritation in the left side of my chest. Felt like a bruise so I really didnt pay any attention to it. About 1-2 wks later I noticed that there was a knot in the same area about the size of a quarter, and I was having pounding headaches and extreme fatigue. Went to the Doc and they ran some tests and said that it was something that would / should go away on its own, but, the ran some bloodwork to check horomone levels. They also referred me to a general surgeon for a consult.
Bloodwork came back saying low testosterone but all else was normal (low testosterone shouldnt cause it, they said). At the gen. surg. they said that I should come back in 6 weeks and get a recheck, but they made me feel like I was on drugs ( i guess some of my symptoms "could" be similar to those :nono ). Anyway, I then went to an endocronologist and they ran some more bloodwork. Throughout this whole time the headaches are getting worse, occasionally trouble breathing, and no one knows what is wrong :angry I guess it is very uncommon for someone my age to be experiencing this :dunno Bloodwork came back and showed that my levels are off and they are going to run a MRI and they prescribed me some Chemo-drug "femara" which is a female breast cancer drug (yet they say they dont think it is cancerous :dunno) and then they are going to give me testosterone which I will have to take forever and increases my chances of getting prostate cancer :angry (sure feels like a no win situation) In the meantime I have to get the MRI to check for tumor of the pituitary and prepare to get a chunk of my chest removed and deal with the side-effects of the chemo-drug (hot flashes, fatigue, insomnia, depression) Otherwise I guess I m doing pretty good :lmfao

thank you all for the support I appreciate it

Eric, I'm sorry to hear that situation. Guys our age shouldn't have to go through stuff like that :angry I hope the best for you and your family, and you will definitely be in our prayers.

God Bless you and your family! :kneel

Eric,

I wish you the best and I hope any future tests come back with good results, all procedures performed are performed flawlessly and that you have a full and complete recovery.

Take care and God bless,

Dwayne McPeeks

I'm pretty new over here, but that doesn't keep me from saying my prayers for you.

Good Luck with everything and you know we're all hear for ya :D

UPDATE

OK, today I go for a skull x-ray and MRI. kinda have mixed feelings on this because, if they find something, at least I will know what started all this, but then again i really dont want them to find something wrong up there :crazy The meds they have me on suck, they emotionally drain me and make me feel VERY weak. just sitting upright makes my back hurt. kinda feels like every muscle is comepletly drained.:whine Thanks everyone for they prayers and well wishes I will update more when I have more info
