Another wax shoot out

Zanio goes up against Zymol NSX and a few others . This Zanio stuff keeps blowing me away everytime I see it applied .
Test

That test is a little older, Ive seen it before on a couple of different sites. I wish there were some scientific methods to test the amount of light that reflects off of the surface. Perhaps a device could be created that would shine light on the surface of the paint at an exact distance and angle, them measure how much of it is reflected versus absorbed. That could be done before and after different waxes are applied so that we could get an accurate gage for their ability to enhance the shine. Of corse that is only one aspect of a shine; there would have to be a whole series of tests that are done to measure clarity, color enhancement, etc. But I simply wish that someone would create devices to electronically and precisly measure these factors. All of the tests available rely on people making the judgements, and that alone makes accuracy and consistency a problem; especially because the difference between most waxes or sealents is very subtle, and is difficult to gage properly on a small panel or section of a car.

yea, that would be great if we could eliminate more "varibles" in that test, and maybe add a couple more waxes. very interesting test. perhaps i should try zaino wax....

edit: wow, i was reading some of the posts being made there, and its really getting offensive and violent.... i sorta feel like im in the middle of a gang war :O

let put it simply...
1)use what YOU think looks best....
2)there is no such thing as an objective test outside of a lab ...
3)outside of a lab there are too many variables
4)you can not test many waxes on the same vehicle at the same time
do you think the curve of the end of a hood is the same as the middle...inch by inch a hood will change by angle of view and/ or angle of the sun
5)outside of a lab there are too many variables
6)everyone has their own subjective view as they have for picking the color of their car
7)outside of a lab there are too many variables
8)do you think a machine could really tell you what you like best..pepsi or coke:nono
9)outside of a lab there are too many variables
10)to quote Mike Phillips copied quote " find a product you like and use it often" :D

Zaino is not a very user friendly product. Yes is was durable but, to me, the shine is not very deep. I have found PB to have a deeper look and VERY user friendly. If you are looking for durabilty, AIO topped with UPP is good.

I have used Zaino in the past, and like it very much............... mainly on light colors, as it gives good clarity and reflectivity that enhances light colors. Zaino is also tough to beat when it comes to durability.

However, there are now many good sealants on the market that weren't around when I started using Zaino. Products like UPP, EX-P, WG, NXT, are also very good products.

As for the comparison testing................. the only test that matters is the one YOU do!

Good luck with whatever you decide.
