Vector Circular Polisher

Anyone tried this?

I currently only have a DA and I been thinking of adding a rotary to my detaling cabinet. At 70 bucks you can't beat the value. I don't have a whole lot of need for a rotary, I use my PC for almost everything so if this polisher will do a decent job, it might be good for me. LOL for 70 bucks if it turns on and spins its still a good value!

ive got a rotary i bought at harbor freight tools for $49.00.. works great .. i had the same prob with the speed control but i figured it out..

Yeah thats what I figured. I mean i know some are better than others, but its just a device that spins. So, how can one spin better than another? I would think it would be fine but i'm not sure so I figured I'd ask first. I don't have any experience with a rotary though so maybe there are some things i'm failing to consider...

You're right, they all spin the same. The difference is going to be how long it will spin for. If you are not a pro and not using it daily, I'd think a cheaper rotary will serve your needs.

I almost bought the Harbor Freight but went ahead and got the Dewalt, hope this is a one time purchase.

I bought the Vector at Pep Boys for $59 plus 5% tax. NO SHIPPING or handling. I'm not a pro, so the inexpensive (cheap) machine will do just fine for me.

I first purchased the Vector from Propreautocare and it works fine. I then purchased the Dewalt. The Vector seems to rotate slower so I used it for jobs that do not require a lot of high speed polishing. You can't go wrong with either.

Ron, besides the speed, were there any differences between the two units? I don't really think the speed would be a problem for me since I would probably never use the unit on max speed.
