I'm a member over at my350z.com and on there they talk about a new protectant called crystal guard....

Anyone use this or have any information on it? The people on that msg board don't know as much about detaling as on DC so I value any opinions i get here much more.
 
I went to the place where CG is sold in Mountain View CA. Its hard to say what it really is but I did get a sample. I was not over the top impressed wth it, but it did make the car look shinny. As for how long it lasts I don't know.
 
Some people were extremely impressed with it while others didn't think it made the car look any better then Zaino. They said it didn't make the car very slick but it was very shinny. But like I said, they don't know much about detailing on my350z.com. I can tell you one thing about it, it is very very expensive!
 
With any of these products...indeed dealers are making money with this stuff...and I suppose when anyone is in business, the idea is to make money, including those that are in the detailing business...and even places like Delta Sonic which offer Blue Coral at 299 a shot.
