that's funny, i just picked up a 3ft one up in the middle of a road in my neighborhood a few days ago. placed him back into a lake behind my home. gator trappers just removed a 6ft one from another smaller pond in my neighborhood that same day. they often migrate to different water sources.

The first time I went canoeing in Florida, at a place called Wiekva Springs, I saw I bunch of gators. Everybody was telling me not to worry because they will hide or they will not bother you...
Wrong. One (not sure how big but I'm guessing 5342 ft) bumped the canoe pretty hard.

I dont know how you people in Florida do it ....living amongst aligators,giant bugs,hurricanes and sink holes.
Seems like a scary place to live to me !

I think all you living in Florida should move to California if you like the warm weather.
Florida seems like a dangerous place to live.
