First show, two trophies

Went to the Buffalo Shelby show over the weekend for my first show of the year. A 65 Fastback I detailed literally all last weekend got first in class and my 91 got an excellence award. Pretty much 2nd place but I found out quickly that convertables win shows, I had 3 people come up to me after the show and say I had by far the best Fox body there. It's too bad not one Shelby showed up except for a Cobra kit car, lots of Mach 1's were there as well as 2 Boss's.
I was a little disappointed in the weather, which is probably why none of the really high end cars showed up. All day it was cloudy and it even downpoured a couple times. There wasn't any sun until after the show was over. I had both cars absolutly perfect with not once spyder web on them but it made no difference. I really wanted to check out other peoples detail jobs and point out flaws I could correct.
I really wanted to post this because it doesn't really matter what product you use and your final result. It's 95% the person using it. There might be arguement over final finish products but look is 100% subjective to the person looking at it.
On the 65- 83,82, 82(pc), NXT x2, #81, TS x5
On the 91- 83, SSR2, SSR1(pc), NXT x2, #7, TS x8
Both finishes came out flawless.

I'll hopefully have some pics Tues. and more after that.....the joys of not having a digital.

Sunday afternoon was pretty nasty. At least the sun came out later. Well, at least in Rochester it did. :D

Here's the 65. Pics came out real bad. Of course you don't know that until you get them developed. Color is Laser Red over grey primer. 8-10 hours on the outside. All done with rotory except final polish. Every bit of chrome hand polished with Wenol. Tires dressed with Pro's Premo.
