ask the PROS
I figure if you want to do something right, you ask the guys that know. I just picked up my BLACK 2004 Ford FX4 Supercrew. The shine right now is great, but to keep it like that I know will take some proper techniques and products. What should I be using and doing to keep this baby looking like today? Thank you very much.

Well, I'm no pro, but I can offer some advice which I have learned from the great folks here on DC. I'll let others fill in the rest of the blanks, but definitely get some top quality products. I highly suggest one or two waffle-weave microfiber drying towels. Some good quality wash mitts, like the cotton chenille or lambs wool. Then to remove product, get several of the top quality microfiber towels. Get some good foam applicators to apply product by hand. These items are basic to help prevent cob-webbing to as great a degree as possible. You can't prevent them completely but you can minimize them.

To get such products as these, you need look no further than Premium Auto Care and the other sponsers of this forum! :)

Hope this helps.

There are lots of great waxes out there and everyone has their own preference. Read around the forums here to get different ideas. This site is great for that. The users here are very helpful. Im trying to contribute more now to keep that spirit going. Anyway, I like Collinite's Insulator Wax.
Heres why:
-Dries clear
-Trim OK
-Very durable
-Super easy to use
-Reflection is great. Not a deep shine, but very clear.
Heres an example

I'll be doing the same truck next week will post some picks for you... I like the NXT because it does give a deep shiny look and it has some filling capabilities as well... And there booster wax i think gives even more shine...

Thank You

These are some great tips to follow. Does anyone know if NXT is available here in Canada? I don't recall seeing it on the shelves up here.

Yes a friend of mine found some at the NAPA store in Mississauga, Ontario about $44CDN. He stated they had one bottle and that it is hard to find. This was about 3 weeks ago, holefully the chanell will start filling up the shelves.
