You guys probably think I`m crazy, but I don`t have a 21mm and found this.. any comments appreciated.
I like the rubberizing on the handle, plus it`s been upgraded, their version of a markII.

My 21 mk2 will be the next to go.
I haven`t done major correction since my vehicles are already corrected. I`m just hanging onto my 15.mk2 and mini.

I`ll probably get in trouble for this but on Aliexpress clover brand has come out with their Mark11 version.
My OCD with polishers has me all over the place looking but being a enthusiast and only taking care of 2 cars now and rarely polishing I have found these polishers to work well for my use.

McKees products / coatings has made taking and cleaning of my cars a lot easier.....

Back to ebay and aliexpress :)

Mary I dont want to violate any rules but another website that has a D and an I in it, has a small review. PM me if you have any problems finding it

Why not buy a gift card today for 20% off then use it to purchase a G21 or G21 package?? More power and lifetime warranty.

Mary B:
Didn`t you just buy the NEW Makita PO5000C DA-RO polisher?? I guess a true Autopian can never have enough polishers. "The right tool for every job"

No that was a New Flex 15
I really enjoy using the Flex, but it is still a 15mm, just like my Boss 15.
Ran the Boss today and the rubberizing brings an added dimension of comfort.
The Boss 15 is a great tool, forgot how much I enjoy running that machine.
My plan is to use a 21mm for hoods and roofs, so I can reach the roof by standing on the floor.
Plus I have an SUV that I don`t want to be on a ladder too long, a 21 would make shorter work of it.

Mary - for my SUV, I use these platforms. On Black Friday, they can be had for ~$20 each and I find them much safer than climbing around on my Expedition. If that does not get you enough height, I did see these recently which are more $$ but have the advantage of more height (when needed) and extendable stabilizers.

Mary,

Today 15% of storewide :)
only good on polisher kits ..no rupes :(

griots 21mm starter kit $339.00

Having a step platform that is about 18-24" tall makes it MUCH easier to reach the tops/roofs of any truck/SUV/Wagon/Van (OK, taller vehicle, other than a school bus or semi tractor).
Two things you need to be aware of IF you do buy and use one:
1) ALWAYS use the locking leg/step latches if they are foldable
2) It might be wise to install/apply some type of anti-skid/anti-slip tape to the platform itself, like that tape or appliques you find on skate boards, especially when you have wet, soapy shoes or sneakers when washing a taller vehicle.

Great tips !

The last thing I would do and have done on my platform is to install some type of foam all along the entire side that faces the vehicle, so there is no opportunity to accidentally scratch the vehicle if it gets too close.. :)

Or, it can be a long, thick towel that goes over the edge of the ramp so there is no metal to metal contact with the vehicle when you are on it..

Thanks for the Tips that I know I will use.
I have a small platform that I use, but I was kicking the side of the vehicle when I would step up. The foam may help with that. Plus protect the paint.
Never thought of slipping on the platform. You saved me from finding out the hard way. (and I know I would have :).

Rupes 21 has taken the lead, go with the best.
