Raptor gets some Poorboys love

This truck was on the books and cancelled two previous times due to life`s wonderful surprises. I waoted and let him come back around to rescheduling and Thursday he texted me asking if it was ok to use the car wash brush so I felt I had to get this done before the owner left me with more work.

Absolutely no sun peeking out today, which sucks because this is some beautiful metallic black paint, but refreshingly cool for a late April day and this definitely wasn`t fitting in my garage.

Poorboys: super slick n wax, pb wash mitts
bug squash, bug mesh micro, apc (tires/wells), spray and rinse and 2bm wash on wheels
clayed with cobra clay mitt

PWC blue via urofiber pads: if you haven`t tried these pads as a 1 step What Are You Waiting For, They Are Phenomenal.

EXc applied via hand, let sit for 1 hour and removed with chilled Spray and Gloss

mckees si02 spray on wheels
bold n bright on tires and fender wells
natural look on trim

nanoskin rain on glass

I think that covers it

some before/afters...paint was BAD, and came out probably 90% or more on most of truck except for the passenger qpanel which was repainted at some pt, showing 6.2 while other panels registered 3.5-4.5

Great work! So you like the new multifiber pads? Do they cut as well as a normal microfiber pad?
probably not...half the fibers are cutting and half are finishing and the nap is smaller to make them work better I guess...but scientifically I`d say there`s no valid argument...cutting pads are going to cut more

ive achieved fantastic results when using the urofiber pads with Poorboy`s PWC blue

pitch black mustang, pitch black Chevy, and metallic black ford all recently completed with this combo..speed 5 on my rupes...i have the 1,2,3,5 and 6 inch pads

Nice work Brandt :)
thanks steve

would I expect much more of a cut if I had used SSR1 instead? (same pads and speed)

I opened the bottle and it smells like Lemons- yah!
Now I want to use it

but I feel like there is some magic in PWC blue

I like the chicken. 4th time, hehe.

Nice work.

Another combo I should try out some day (PWC w/Uro)

That SSR1 does have a nice scent to it (Like most Poorboy`s products) and I like working with SSR1.

you would probably get a bit higher gloss

that`s it? I wasn`t sure if since it had actual abrasives in it if it would be more of a cut with same pad than PWC blue

I still can`t believe the results I`m getting with PWC blue on these urofiber pads with no loss in gloss too

oh and I have a product suggestion: Glass Cleaner +

I need a Poorboys glass sealant product!

SSR1 is a finishing polish and the abrasives are very small and break down quickly .. so yeah a bit more Gloss ...

Glass doesn`t need sealing, it needs to be polished ... then you can say " it`s as smooth as glass ;) "

but the people want beads on their glass

I like PP or PWS on glass but thats extra work

water will just blow off of a polished glass and will bead during light rain .. I use PP .. prefer not to leave anything that will degenerate over time

good point, I am considering adding front glass polishing to my standard AIO package but will need to raise the price a tad if I do that or take out the additional wax topper (as that kind of defeats the AIO purpose BUT I gotta waste my wax, dangit)

and me, two days!! Man, maybe i SHOULD get me Rupes machines!

2 hrs on this, I do about the same there. So am I just slow in polishing? :(
I thought I was slow
I didn`t even bring out the 21 mk2 for this truck
duetto, mini and nano only

no stinkin washer mods needed here, lol
