Fed-Ex?

I placed an order Sunday and normally I receive my packages from UPS in 4 days even though I`m in the "2 day" delivery zone. I received a shipping notice from Autopia showing Fed-Ex as the shipper. I dislike Fed-Ex. They are slow and unreliable. I have, luckily, received very good service from UPS and would like to know other Autopians opinions of Fed-Ex. By the way, today is Friday and I still haven`t received my package that was shipped Monday, nor have I received anything from Fex-Ex stating that I have a delivery tomorrow. Is Fed-Ex going to be the default shipper for PBMG? Or is it Vision not PBMG now? I hate changes.

I agree, Fed Ex is the least reliable shipper in my opinion. UPS always seems to be on top of everything. I ordered last Sunday from AG and shipped via Fed Ex. Package appears to be on time. In your shipping confirmation click on the tracking number and it should link to Fed ex`s tracking page. My package is scheduled for tomorrow.

I too hate change and hope that Fed Ex hasn`t become the new preferred parcel delivery for AG and Autopia.

Thanks, I just checked and it`s not the fault of Fed-Ex this time. It was not shipped out until Thursday even though I placed my order on Sunday night. Three days to pack my shipment is not normal. My bad Fed-Ex folks! It is scheduled to be delivered by the end of the day on Saturday. I was hoping to get my shipment Thursday so I could finish a car Saturday.

interesting you guys feel that way abou fedex.... ups where i`m at is horrendous and I strongly prefer fed ex

It depends...FWIW. FedEx Ground delivers to residential on Sat. They DO Not deliver to resi on Mondays...

Your experience will vary as FedEx ground are franchises......so the QC is meh...
FedEx Air IMO is what FedEx has built their bread and butter....not ground.

I`ll second this 1000%. Ups will hold packages in their hubs just so it doesn`t deliver "early". specifically seen packages sit for three days after I got excited it was timing for an early delivery.

FedEX gets it there however long it takes, mostly early but sometimes late by a day or two.

Also so have found that FedEX will actually ring the doorbell instead of cruising on by saying "no one home".

Like someone said above, must be regional on service experiences.

I dont know, everything I`ve ordered from PBMG in the last 2 months has taken close to 2 weeks to arrive at my house (Ohio). This last order from AGO that was shipped via FedEx seemed to be a little better (still not as quick as it used to be though.

Interesting. I`m in NE Ohio and lately PBMG has improved in the area of order fulfillment & shipping. Last summer if ordered Saturday/Sunday, would generally arrive 8/9 days later. Ordered some stuff from AG last Sunday, arrived Weds. ACC ordered last weekend arrived Thursday. All Holiday orders this year recd within a week.

Yeah I`m a bit frustrated with them as well

Placed orders Saturday and Sunday. One order is coming tomorrow (hopefully) and the second order is coming Tuesday...pretty damn slow

Meh, I`ll prefer FedEx over ups whenever possible. The way UPS handled their screw up with mis sorting one of my shipments (not from ACC) I will never use them again if possible. I have a major disagreement with how they handle mis sorting a package and how they handle an upset customer over it.

I dislike this new FED-EX delivery deal. There is always a different driver, they show up at all different times, Not convenient at all. With UPS, Always the same time of day. You could set your watch. Must be a money maker decision for Autopia.

I`m sure FedEx under cut ups rates, I received a package yesterday order placed last weekend I prefer an Union carrier.

FedEx vs UPS? After living in several parts of the USofA, and buying many products, be it veterinary products, plants, car parts/products, marine fish/corals, and day-old chicks? Often, delivery service seems to be as weak as the actual employees working for FedEx, UPS, whatever. If Autopia is involved, then their company reps might be at fault as well? Immediate Tracking Numbers are invaluable to me, whether it is from UPS, FedEx, Autopia....whatever/whoever. I am not sitting around, reading the Farmers` Almanac. I would much rather drive an `amazing car` (YES!)

The main issue with "delivery services" has always been "simple" for simple me. "Location, Location, Location" appears to be the `Driver`? FedEx in GA was a worthless piece of crappe. Packages were sent to various neighbors, or merely "vaporized" leading to inflammatory phone calls. UPS was always a Champion in the past, living in parts of the US & Canader.

Where we live now, FedEx has been extremely reliable, except for a local friend who`s FedEx truck was left outa gear on a steep hill, and coasted backwards through their own property and elsewhere (well captured by phone pics...Priceless).

Packages.... often boil down to where you live? Both UPS, and FedEx seem to have a few morons involved in their "Delivery Services"?

I don`t make `em. Occasionally, to me, all "delivery services", appears to be more like Shake n` Bake, t`me, depending on your location?

Ordered last Sunday from AG (but fem chemicals have to go ground) fedex Ground and I am looking at getting it this coming Tuesday. 9 days seems a little long but not crazy just disappointed as I wanted to play with a few new toys this weekend.Like rlmccarty2000 its both side being a tad slow adding up to later delivery mine also didnt get shipped till Thursday. But with 25 percent off sale for AG last weekend and now 25% off at AT my guess is they are just swapped with spring orders. I will live just getting spoiled by Amazon Prime shipping has ruined me.

I live in SW Pa shipped Tuesday arrived Thursday ...Fed X

That probably went through the Neville Island facility that we service, or possibly the new state of the art Autostat in Zelienople.

If people knew how rough packages were handled, they would pack stuff better. I know a couple facilities that have a giant sort that packages slide down and people throw them (literally) on the corresponding belts to wherever it goes. I wish I was allowed to publicly show pictures of it. Like I said it`s a wonder anything makes it through unscathed. You don`t even want to know how bumpers are treated going through there, as they are "incompatibles" and cannot go on the conveyor system.

If a package is noted leaking or busted open it will get taken off and put through QA, which they will either repack it or go back to the shipper. I think malt vinegar is the worst I`ve smelled that broken open on the belts; that night still haunts me. If you use the cheap packing tape, contents will break open definitely. Most of the time it`s a billion little pieces that have to get picked out of the whole system. Guess who gets to do that? Yea me. :P

Today I actually watched a FedEx truck drop a package at my neighbor`s house and pass mine. I later received my order.....

Home delivery trucks are mostly packed by the drivers, so either it was driver error or it was a last minute truck and the logistics got all messed up.

I only use FEDEX, they are the best. Insurance is good, delivery is always on time and fast. UPS always damages stuff, ALWAYS. I ship Turbochargers ranging from 20 - 150 lbs and I literally cannot ship them any other way but FEDEX otherwise they won`t arrive unharmed.
