DualPolymer Waterless Car Wash

Dual Polymer Waterless wash and Polish and Protective (acrylic) coating

my car club buddy swears by this

I like the part in the video where he says "take your trusty, dusty microfiber..."

THOUGHTS?

i'm trying to get a small sample from my club buddy to do a test with this stuff

I'm always suspicious of products that need to be bought from a distributor (pyramid scheme). Usually mediocre product backed by marketing hype. The color and consistency looks like D115 though.

one of those sounds too good to be true things

the guy doesn't seem like a fraud in the video but they could have hired an outsider for that. hahaha

my friend has some but im afraid he is afraid to let me try/review it---I will try to drive up there and get a little bit of it from him if I can tomorrow

looks like a spray glaze to me
it claims to have dual acting polishing polymers

claims to be an acrylic coating as well
sun friendly
can leave on vehicle for days and wipe off easily
can use wet/dry
cures cancer (not really but I was waiting for him to throw that in)

if you look at their website they carry other products which seem to bend the rules I'm accustomed to with regards to longevity/etc

update...my buddy just agreed to let me have 2 oz of this stuff for research purposes as soon as he is back in town

I think I've been conditioned over the years. Anything that says "as seen on TV" brings a smile to my face.

As soon as he started talking about the "four micron polish powder" I just had to quit watching.

You're not really gonna *rinseless wash* with that stuff are you?!? I mean...?why? would somebody use that instead of [INSERT usual choices here]?

Sounds like most of the stuff the people in my car club use...[snarky coment deleted]. No thanks.

Funny thing is i cant get any of these guys to try the (good) samples i try to give them yet they are all ordering this. Lol
I feel like that you can lead a horse to water saying

Once i get my hands on some that my buddy has i will try it and prove it useless.

Cant reach 'em all.

It has to be good it has DUAL POLYMERS twice as good as single polymers, Next year they are updating the formula TRI POLYMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are also coming out with a 1 minute Ab's work out to beat 6 minute abs.

I'm pretty sure there was an AGO thread on this awhile back. Hardly anything positive as I recall.

Exact same experience with my pals in the Jag Club. I've simply given up and only discuss Detailing if they ask direct questions that I can't politely avoid. I've also given up on donating detailing supplies for the Christmas raffle...the great (and pricey) products weren't appreciated in the least.

Other people's cars/detailing/opinions? Getting to where I couldn't care less...whatever makes ya happy.

our club does ride of the month. every month I give away a Microfiber towel (from towel pros) and 2 oz of RW, 2oz of Optibond and 2oz of megs apc
this year for ride of the year I am offering a completely free detail

I bet nobody takes me up on the detail though.

I had to pull hairs to find a black challenger in a friggin' Mopar car club that was willing to let me come use the Nattys Black Wax on their car for free. Heck I even clayed it and cleaned his glass inside and out.

It just frustrates the crap out of me. they spend hundreds of dollars chroming engine parts and then wipe them down with their crappy walmart towels.

Nobody will talk about car care with me. I run the club forum's Detail section and frequently offer giveaways that very few people ever even take me up on.

So far I've only reached one person, but he bought a PC and some BF goodies so that made me feel a little better....rant over :)

512detail- I should point out that the folks in my Jag Club *do* appreciate how nice my vehicles are, and a few guys ask (and even take) my advice when it comes to, uhm...stuff that's not too involved. And my pal Bob sure does appreciate when I do his MKII, which I might be doing again this year.

Heh heh, Re "cleaning other people's glass"- I once did the windshield (in and out) for a Highway Patrol trooper (really attractive woman, nice new Crown Vic) at the accident site where a nutty old lady had rear-ended my vehicle and then fled the scene. She seemed to appreciate it..and well, Karma-points and all that.

did you at least get a number? haha and not 9-1-1!

I get lots of compliments on my car as well but nobody ever asks me what I'm using or to do it to theirs unfortunately.

It looks pretty "iffy" but just might be a good product. I still use the original (not this brand) invented in 1988 and everyone dumped on it. It still works above and beyond expectations. This one might be a good product or it could be Caca. Try it and let us know.

right...they recommend applying the waterless with a TERRY CLOTH TOWEL ouch

Nothing wrong with that. Many call for Terry towels. If they are good quality there is no worry. I've been using waterless wash products, one in particular, since 2004 with Terry towels. No marring to date, it's all in the procedure. One must learn how to use the product(s) that are out there.

Mind if I ask what the original was? I seemed to have misplaced 1988. I'm sure it was a very good year. ;)
