TropicallyDetailing:BimmerPower/2 M5's and 2 M3's (72 pics)

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
This week featured its share of BMW "M" Power.

Story

The first M5, an '07 was a weekly wash of a previously detailed car. This was just the introduction for the week which featured 3 more "M" power bimmers. The same client owned the remaining three, his wife's M3 conv, his M5, and his custom M3.

Next the M3/M5 where done on the second day. The M3 Convert belongs to his wife and has a couple custom parts, the M5 is an '01 and features custom body, rims, and engine parts pushing the engine to 403 horses at the rear wheels.

The M3 was light silver and didn't need much correction.

Z9/Z10 on leather

The AIO did an amazing job cleaning up the rear wing. Before it was slightly dull and oxidized, but the AIO cleaned/polished the surface and brough the gloss factor way up.

This car is done right and kept in amazing shape. Infact the owner had paid to have 3 extra clear coats sprayed on the car, it looked amazing.

Excellent work as always Todd. What mod's did his M3 have under the hood? I posted before seeing the additional pics, Wow has he put some money into his M3. Looks very slick.

excellent excellent work AS USUAL Todd, I admire your consistency.

And the 50/50 shot of the blue bimmer is spot on,

SIP/white pad via rotary finished down so nicely in the after shot.

Do you give rotary tuition?:grinno:

Todd, have you tried Meguiar's Wheel Brightener?

how would you compare it to the p21s?

thanks

The M3 has headers, cam, heads, ect ect ect... Pretty much everything that can be done and lays over 400 horsepower out. It also has been GPS certified at over 180!!!

The M5 has Dinan parts under the hood (cam, intake, headers) and is pushing 500 horses at the crank, as well as a full Dinan body kit. It has huge money invested in it as well, but has a more subtle look.

Todd great work as always. How do you like working with BMW paint

Honestly, not too bad Ryan. The M5's paint was harder than normal, and most of it was pretty bad (worse then the pictures let on) but a wool pad and powergloss was able to cut most of the swirls and scratches out quickly.

The newer M3 had the soft Bimmer paint, which finished nice with AIO on the PC.

Holy smoke somebody loves there Bimmers! SERIOUS money was put into that M3, the car has a "touring car" look.

Nice job and nice score!

Thanks Diesel. The M5 I think had more invested (or a similar amount as the Dinan parts are very expensive). The owner is very fanatical about his cars and I am honored to have worked on all 3 as he really does an amazing job keeping them up. The M5 has 80,000 miles on it, and the leather looks brand new all the way around.

Fish thanks for your kind words, espically considering the work you turn out (amazing) in a less than ideal climate!!!

I have used Meg's WB plenty of times, and wish I would have had it for the M3's cont.'s rims. Even cut like 10:1, I find WB to be much stronger than the P21s. However, I try to avoid it because of its strength, it can really etch/stain some rims. The P21s is mild but works over time (P21s claims you can leave it on the rims for up to two hours to let it work).

A couple Ferrari's that I do have like 15,000 dollar rims, so I like using the mildest cleaner I can that still gets the job done right. I think there is a place for both products in a detailers line up. :D

Wow, is that a dream garage or what! 3 Ms. Great job on the M family!

Thanks Tod,

Todd

That is some gorgeous detailing work, absolutely stunning! I'm not feeling the spoilers and all that carbon fiber all over the place, but I guess to each his own.

Todd, a few questions.

You mentioned the leather on his M5 looked brand new all around, with 80k miles. How did he manage this? Im guessing it still has age wrinkles? Just not any cracks or fading, or stains, etc? Even with conditioning about every 2 weeks or so, I still get wrinkles on my DD's drivers seat.

Questions about the modded M3. Was this ever red? I've seen one in person with the same mods as he has, same bits of CF in the same places, same red rim tape, same wheels, same quoted engine work, etc...the only difference was this M3 was red. He even had the same body kit, minus the spoiler.

Anyhow, great job! Love M cars (who doesn't) and you did a stellar job. Such glossy paint!

Beautiful collection of M's!

Great job on the details Todd -your work is always a pleasure to view.

You're a machine!!!

So when do i sign up for rotary school! Awesome workmanship Todd!:bow , pure sex machines that look like they was from a museum collection after your special touch!:bow :bow :bow
