Rubber Trim

Just One More Coat
What are you guys using for the rubber trim on the doors and windows, etc.
I have Mothers back to black, and Wizards rubber conditioner. I find that it goes on OK but soaks in or rubs off while buffing it. In some cases it looks like its streaked., also looking dull

Anyone?

At a car show I was at the other week, I ended up picking up some 303 protectant. The rep I was talking to was talking abuot Mother's Back to Black actually drying out the rubber. Since I am almost out of the Mother's anyway, I figured I would give 303 a try (on the girlfriend's car, hehe). I put it on about 2 weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to check on it real good since I just got back from vacation, but it still looked good from a distance. I need to look closer since the 303 is water-based, I heard it will run after a rain (which we have plenty of this year!).

Ive basically given up on rubber trim. No matter what I use, it either streaks, buffs in dull (Vinylex), or runs upon the first drop of water.

i agree, there just isn't anything that i've been really pleased with on rubber. 303 does work pretty well but it still isn't exactly what i'm looking for. has anyone tried gummy phledge(sp)? i've heard some really good things about it.

Has anyone found a good way to get rid of old crud in the trim. I had a customer return a car after they told me the back-to-black they put on the trim started running.

And please, if anyone finds something good for the trim, let me know.

Tim,
Gummi is for door seals and works well.

Tassadar,
To clean the trim, try diluted APC or Meg's #39.

Eric

Is Meg's 39 on this site to be brought?

I have a product that is called Bumper Coat from P&S Car Care Products, if put on and buffed right away seems to work OK. I wonder about Armoall (sp) I use to use that and of worked into the rubber seemed to be OK
