Bugs!

Can anyone tell me what I can use to get bug splatter off my car. I have tried a few brands and they don't seem to work very well.

I use slovent while washing the car. Put some on a small towel that is damp and rub them off. Tehn wash with soap and water right after. Do not allow the area to dry before washing it off.

That sounds pretty good I use some simply green or Meguiars QD it takes it dissolves them for some reason.

What brands have you tried. I'd hate to have to rack my brains only to suggest 3 products you've already used.

I like it better than Tarminator because it has the sponge, plus its in a pretty nifty bottle.

Keeping a well maintained coat(s) of protection on the paint aids in the removal of bugs............. and other stuff too. The "slick" synthetic coatings like UPP, Zaino, Klasse and others seem to work the best............. at least for me.

I use spray and wipe on a well maintained finish and they come right off....did some motorcycles this past weekend and thye were amazed how fast and easy they come off with a mf cloth and Spray and Wipe...available here at premiumautocare.com

I usually have the person who is responsible for the bug detail to spray it down with a diluted carpet cleaning soap, let it set for a minute then start cleaning with a bug sponge. Do not let the product dry or use a tire cleaner as it may be to strong and discolor the paint. Some years ago I had a customers car get damaged from someone useing a tire cleaner to scrub bugs they left it on a little to long and they had to repaint the hood and front fenders.

You could take your car wash soap, put some on a microfiber (straight from the bottle) and apply it to the bug spots. Let it soak a few minutes then wash the car as normal.
