    wetsanding snafu?

    Hello,
I was in the process of trying to wet sand some scratches off my rear bumper and it looked like part of the paint peeled away from the car? I`m still pretty new at trying to paint correct/remove scratches from my car. Any advice on how to fix this issue would be most appreciated.

Whats the color? black with no metallic/pearl? You might be able to do a decent touch up job if you dont want to pay for the repaint, but again do not expect it to look new or perfect, if you do not have the experience, go with what the other`s say, just repaint the whole thing, it will save you many hours, or even days of headache.

The repaint won`t be too expensive. And there are some good body shops out there if you shop carefully. Or you could spray can it. There is a company that specializes in spray can South up. Auto-something, can`t remember right now. They advertise in the back of Popular Mechanics and many Car Magazines.

I think you may mean Automotive Touch Up. Spray Paint | AutomotiveTouchup

I`ve purchased paint from them a few times to do small projects. Pretty decent, but getting a hang of the "blending" technique takes some practice.
