    P40 or Hybrid V7?

    I`m stuck, I`ve used them both but really can`t decide... Vote please!

    P40 = carnauba based detailer
    V7 = synthetic based detailer

    So my only thing is this at least with P40, it seems to leave a bluish hue in the coat. V7 adds straight pop but p40 it`s almost like a tint. Some cars it looks good others it looks awful. Anyone else have experience with p40, I never hear anything about.

    I was never too impressed with P40. I never noticed much added protection or gloss using as a waterless wash or QD and had some streaking if I didn`t wipe it really well with some pressure. However I just noticed it says in the product description on this site that it works best if diluted with distilled water. I guess I either never saw that on the bottle or maybe it isn`t on the label? I`ll have to check when I get home. I think I have enough to dilute and give it one more try

    I just noticed that! My old 16oz mentions nothing about that. Good spot.

    Re: P40 or Hybrid V7?

    P40 can be streaky. I have a 16 oz. bottle that does not mention diluting it. But I swear a previous bottle I had said to dilute it 1:1 for waterless washing.

    Just checked the website and it stated diluting 1:2 (1 part water to 2 parts product) will eliminate streaking. Not sure about that, I still get a little at 1:1.

    The easiest to use QD w/ carnauba that I have tried is Blackfire Midnight Sun Instant Detailer. Just wave a towel at it and it buffs itself off.

    Never had any problems with V7. It`s not a bead demon if that is important to you. Easy as pie to use though.

    I have never used P40 but I can`t say enough about V7. Super easy to use and looks fantastic. I will always have some in my cabinet.

    I really like the way V07 looks on top of Opti-caot.

    Never used P40, but V7 is very impressive. Great pop as a detailer, great slickness that seems to hang on for a while and works fantastic as a dying aid (really allows the towel to slide over the paint and never any streaking even in 42 degree temp)

    Re: P40 or Hybrid V7?

    I use and Sell the V07 and love it. P40 doesn`t interest me so much.

    Have you ever tried the Instawax? I use it and find it works very well - even in the sun. Customer feedback is extremely positive.

    I have never tried the P40 but love the V7. I bounce back and forth between the V7 and Duragloss AW These two work so great I don`t even look for anything else.

    Re: P40 or Hybrid V7?

    I have a gallon of V7 and P40.
    Love them!
    I cut the P40 1:1 rather than 2 parts P40 to 1 part water as mentioned on instructions.

    Which would you choose if you had to choose one, for say a silver blue metallic car?

    Re: P40 or Hybrid V7?

    I have never used P40 but I was impressed with CG V7. It was everything that they said it would be (I don`t know about durability because I applied it on my coated car), which is something considering Chemical Guys` marketing.
