Can the sealant be layered? Should it be layered?
If so, what are your recommendations? (2-3 coats?)

How many vehicles can be expected to be sealed (approx.) with one 8oz bottle?

Looking to use the PBL paint sealant and have the same question regarding layering?

2 layers will give maximum benefit, about 12 hours apart.

Thanks Todd. I`ll do the 2 coats as suggested. I`m also thinking of using Synergy as a final coat.

So, after 2 applications of the Sealant followed by Synergy, what would be the "freshen up" or maintenance of this product line. Washing of course, but maybe a "spray on" while drying. Then further along, another topping of Synergy once a quarter? Of course I am guessing at this point.

    Welcome to AF!

To "freshen up" give it a shot of Black Label Coating Booster every month or so...

You can use Black Label Coating Detailer as a drying aid also...

For Synergy, you should easily get 6 months of protection/looks BUT you can reapply as often as you desire.

Re: New Product Review: Black Label Diamond Paint Sealant

Great, looks like I can develop a plan. I am starting with a 2 year old, WHITE Lexus that has never been polished or waxed, etc. From what I have gleaned from this thread these are the steps that I will/should follow...unless there are suggestions otherwise.

    1. Thorough washing and striping of residual waxes. (what to use for striping?)
    2. Clay the paint. Does not appear to be need for paint correction.
    3. Polish, mostly light, using BL Surface Cleaning Polish, once again to remove wax
and sealants that may be present.
    4. BL Diamond Sealant, 2 applications 12+ hours apart.
    5. BL Synergy.
    6. Regular washings maybe using BL Coating Detailer as a drying aid.
    7. BL Coating Booster every 2 months or so.
    8. Re application of Synergy at the 6 month point.

All of this will be done by hand, machines available but the absence of paint correction drives me to the least invasive applications. Black Label takes me through the whole process, so I am relying on a lot of brand continuity.

Please critique and criticize at will.

Just wash it, no need to strip as the combination of claying and BL SCP will do that for you.

    2. Clay the paint. Does not appear to be need for paint correction.
If you are not planning on polishing, then I would add something like CarPro Iron-X to the plan, either before or after claying.

    3. Polish, mostly light, using BL Surface Cleaning Polish, once again to remove wax and sealants that may be present.
    Perfect

    4. BL Diamond Sealant, 2 applications 12+ hours apart.
    Perfect

    5. BL Synergy.
    Perfect

    6. Regular washings maybe using BL Coating Detailer as a drying aid.
Perhaps consider washing with BL Shampoo.

    7. BL Coating Booster every 2 months or so.
    Perfect

    8. Re application of Synergy at the 6 month point.
Every 4-6 months, although at some point you will want to reapply the sealant as well (perhaps start the plan over at the 1 year mark).

    Sounds good.
