Seems like they did more promotion for blacklight than for this

Overpriced !! Sorry , but what makes this better than the Carpro or Gyeon or Gtechnic ? These are even cheaper and good.
The word coating is starting to have a very loose meaning. Everyone has a coating but the ones that actually last and are time tested should be known as the real coatings.
IMO CG is taking advantage of the marketing (no surprised here). The pice does not justify anything and one would be crazy to buy such a "coating" that only gives you one year or protection.

Make youre car look great at the car show!
You are protected blasting through the desert now
Wish they would also cut the crap, you can tell the guy makes the stuff up on the spot cause he has to think sometimes. It is a shame because i use their washes and silk shine, they are brilliant and one of the best IMO.

Chemical Guys Second Skin 6 long term test - start (on 28.07.2014)
Preparation steps:
Wash and full decontamination.
Light polish with various polishes and pads but mostly with Meguiar`s D300 on Rupes yellow pad using Rupes Duetto.
Very thorough degreasing with 4nano Final Wipe and Gtechniq Panel Wipe.
At the end one layer of Chemical Guys Second Skin 6 was applied and the car was in the garage for 48 hours.
Chemical Guys Second Skin 6 long term test - first update (on 30.07.2014)
The behavior of water after 48 hours after application (the car all this time was in the garage). I do not know what to think. The coating is on the car because it is clearly visible - gloss and glass effect. But the water "says" that there is no coating on the car.

A few comments:
- mileage: about 3000-4000 km
- coating is still visible in my opinion
- car gets dirty very little, despite a wide variety of weather conditions (lots of sun, dust, wind and rain)
- coating does not protect against bird drops, traces of the hard / acidic water
- the car wash easily in spite of such a long period of not touching
- no beading and I think this is an advantage especially in the summer
- water sheeting is slow, but exact
I still do not know what to think about this product.
I have to do a second test on a car which is often washed.

Then the geeky guy says oh wow - the mustang was sold, so we cant review the product anymore...
No one could think a year ago, to put this on a vehicle that would be around a year later??
I think Im having a Deja` Moo moment here... (Ive heard this B/S before)...
