What is the most important aspect of a carnauba wax to you?

Ease of Use?- How easy the carnauba wax is to apply evenly and the effort required to buff it off completely with out streaks, sweating, or smearing.

Looks?- How important is the type of strength of the look the carnauba wax, whether it be a deeper, wetter, or more glossy shine.

Longevity?- How long the carnauba wax lasts on your paint.

Protection?- The carnauba waxes ability to withstand water spotting, bug etching, and prevent bonded contamination from sticking to the paint.

Water Beading?- How well the carnauba wax beads and sheds water.

Cost?- The cost per oz. of the carnuaba wax.

I picked looks, but honestly it would have to be ease of use and looks. No point in a wax that looks amazing if it comes off like concrete.

It`s the particular shine of a wax baby. I know I can get protection that lasts longer in a sealant but I still like the glow of a good carnauba. I for one never approach the durability limits of a good sealant. I reapply far too frequently to say that this is a real benefit to me. I will say that sealants have made huge strides over the past decade in duplicating the wax look. There are some that now look much the same as a good wax. It used to be that sealants had a plastic like gloss that differed from the warmth of the waxes. In my opinion that gap has narrowed dramatically.

i would have to say the shine. i mean aint that why we use wax to get that deep shine? second would be ease of use for me. with todays waxes they are all pretty easy to come off. i do use Collonite waxes but apply very thin and its not that bad to take off

Longevity was my vote. I like a carnauba wax that will last at least a month. I don`t want to be re-applying every couple weeks. Easy of use would be my second choice. Gotta love easy to use products

I have the sealant for the longevity but for carnauba, i would be expecting more on the SHINE.

But hey, if they can make wax durable like sealants do (that has been coated 2 or 3 times) and at the same time still have the perfect 10 shine of a carnauba wax on a reasonable price (like using it on honda cars and not just ferrari or lambo cars) then ill stick with it for the rest of my detailing life

I`d say a tie between looks and longitivity, and I also think this goes right in line with protection.

i use sealants for longevity, but carnauba is strictly for the extra pop. ease of use would be second in importance...

I have a ton of nubas and I can say that the reason I use them or different ones varies on the vehicle, the job at hand, the customers expectations and time of year.

Its a combo for me, looks and ease of use. If it fails either, its gets put back on the shelf.
