    Blackfire Spray Sealant vs Reload

I have 2 specific questions for people who have used either or hopefully both of these products.

I have been using Blackfire Spray Sealant as a drying aid over BFWD sealant and as a booster on a just washed car. I am extreemly happy with the results and feel it extends the sealant. That said, there can always be better.

Has anyone ever used the Reload product? Is it better than the BF spray sealant? What in your experience makes it better.

In addition to anyone else, Todd "Mr. Blackfire" have you played with the reload yet? If yes, what is you opinion on each and if you could compare:
    1. Shine
    2. Durability
    3. Ease of use-how much work to buff out.
    4. Smell?

Also it there a difference between Aquartz Reload and CarPro Reload? I see you tube video`s referencing both names.

Re: Blackfire Spray Sealant vs Reload

I will start by saying I haven`t used BF SS. But I have and use DG AW, Wolfgang DGSS, Opt Opti-Seal (more of a dedicated sealant - I know) and CarPro Reload.

I applied CQ to my wife`s car about 2-1/2 months ago. : http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums/...rotection.html

Since then I have used the reload on it twice. Reload is in another league IMO compared to these other spray sealants like DG AW and WG DGSS. The beading and sheeting properties are much better and last for more than just one or 2 washes. IMO the previous spray sealant are more of a booster / QD product where as Reload is almost its own standalone sealant. I have read a few people using it all on its own and getting 3 months of durability out of 1 application. Not bad IMHO. I will try and answer your question in order.

    1. Shine:
IME it has a nice shine that ever so slightly darkens the paint color but at the same time make the metallic flake pop. Maybe it is an oxymoron but that is what I have seen and noticed.

    2. Durability:
I haven’t tested this out yet since I am using it on a car with CQ. Like I said earlier; I have read of others getting 3 moths of durability on its own.

    3. Ease of use:
IME it is very easy to use. I find DG AW slightly easier. I have read of other having some streaking issue on dark color but I attribute most of that to using too much product. The main cause of the streaking is the amount of “active solids” in the product.

    4. Smell:
I did smell it but don’t recall the scent. I do remember it not being overly offensive to me like IronX but I used it out in my garage so I had good ventilation. I will update this for you later.

    5. Differences between Aquartz Reload and CarPro Reload:
From what I understand the Aquartz version is the original version that Avi started with. The current version from CarPro is V2. The way I understand it Carpro version has more of the active component and is more concentrated. (contain 5% silica) Avi would have a better answer for this.

    On a side note:
I have read and am currently using DG AW as a drying aid / Topper on CQ in place of Reload during normal washes. I am then using Reload once a month to just what is says “Reload”. DG AW so far is a great drying aid / topper leaving a nice slick finish while not masking the overall properties of CQ and Reload. I am also doing this due to the price of Reload. Reload: 400ml = 13.5oz $29.99 / DG AW = 22oz $8.99.

Thanks for the detailed review. Much appreciated. The BF is a good spray sealant. I actually used it on my DD that is currently in need of Strip, clay, polish and re-seal. THe BF made the rain bead and roll off very easily. Not sure 1 application over wet drops will last 3 months but so far 2 weeks and it looks very good.

Maybe I gotta try reload. Any ideas where I can ask Avi a specific question on reload Aquarts and CarPro?

I know that Avi is a member here and over on AG. I actually have gathered some of that info from other posts he has on AG and other forums.

Anyone else use these 2 products?

If not what spray sealant have you used that you are 100% happy with. I need to buy something and I have used the Ultima QD-Good, the Blackfire Spray Sealant - Also good.

Wondering if there is better. Better Gloss, better protection from water spots, bird bombs, swirls and ease of use.

    Thanks all!

    Hi
Carpro reload is completely different formula than the other company who just copied our brand.
CarPro reload will enhance the gloss of your car, very easy to use. great durability , hydrophobic and anti dust effect..due to its inorganic components. not absorbing dust like other organic wax or sealants.
it has great durability against detergents. use a pH neutral car shampoo and it will last around 4 months on your car.
it will not protect the car from birds dropping, like any other sealant who wont.
any more questions, you are welcome to ask.
    Avi

Only problem I`ve ever had with ReLoad is that it likes to streak.

I`m not trying to be a pain here, but did you mean WOWO (wipe on, wipe off) product? Usually the only products we refer to as WOWA (wipe on, walk away) are Optimum Opti-Seal (OOS), Ultima Paint Guard Plus (UPGP), and Zaino Clear Seal (Z-CS). It seems like that WDGSS(?) is just like any of the other spray sealants/waxes (AW, Z-8, OCW, etc.) that need to be sprayed on and wiped in until they dry/disappear.

Again, not trying to be argumentative, just trying to keep our terms consistent.

Streaks will happen if you spray allot on the surface, this is also nano coat, no need to spray much!! its not like wax spray.
also ,use short loops MF to wipe off , not plush type . and if you feel the wiping mf is "too wet" from wiping, use new dry mf.

for black color cars you can dilute the reload by 1:0.5 , 1 reload /half water. it will be less powerful and wont streak on the black color.

Re: Blackfire Spray Sealant vs Reload

The only spray sealants I`ve used were Zaino Z8 and the Blackfire. Both seems to give great results with equal gloss and slickness at the initial application, but they don`t seem to last very long. Within a week I`d say there gone. I`d give the ease in application to BF as it easily goes on and off with no streaking. the Z8 would some times streak and I`d have go over again with a clean dry MF. I too use it after a wash to give a final wipedown, but this is after I dry the car. I don`t really consider these sealants since they don`t seem to offer any lasting protection, more of a cosmetic booster between LSP applications.
