I will hack this thread (as usual, Captain Obvious) and recommend Poor Boy`s Bug Squash as a good aid for washing bug guts/spatter of your vehicle`s paint or front windshield, regardless of what you use as a surface protectant; wax, sealant, or coating.
I think it makes removing that bug contaminate/debris easier than trying to scrub or abrade them off.

BUG GUARD | PRO Car Beauty Products
I spray this stuff on my car before every road trip. It`s an oily product and when bugs hit the surface, their guts just mixed into the oily solution rather than stuck on the paint. When you get to your destination, just spray the oil and bugs off and your paint will be fine. If it rains while you are on the road, the rain will wash off the product so after the rain stops, pull off to eat, stretch out, pee, whatever and reapply.

I`m a fan of Pro Bug Guard too. It`s the original of this type of product.
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.
Interesting learning from PearTree`s experience with love bugs. Didn`t know they ate sealant!
Good to know also about Pro Bug Guard.
I was looking for FK 425, couldn`t find it on Amazon, other sites where it has been until recently. I called FK yesterday, spoke with Leda. She said they have discontinued distribution through Amazon, AG et al, they will be selling direct. Their shipping is pricy. Anyone in the NYC area interested in sharing in a shipment?
