I remember there being a high end headlight UV protection system. It involves the use of a spray gun, but I don`t remember too much else about it. Anybody else know what I`m talking about?

I think there`s a lot of them. I can`t find the one that I looked into once.
I did a quick Google and we might be thinking of GlasWeld.

I think that was it. I can`t find a lot in the way of reviews of the state though.
I e-mailed them, and they say depending on environment 3 to 5 years. I`ve known some people to use clear coat. Is 3-5 years the longest solution of everything that can be done other than the factory coating we can`t duplicate?
I thought the factory UV coat was only supposed to last 5 years.
You`re talking about manufacturer`s ratings, and so am I. If GlasWeld says their coating lasts 3-5 years, I`m saying the factory UV is 5 years...that`s your point of comparison.
Real world results can be all over the place--you can compare the same car that`s garaged and one that`s not, etc. Dr. G I believe stated that the "half-life" of automotive clearcoat is 5 years, meaning the life is 10 years...we`ve all seen cars younger than that with failed clear, and cars a lot older that are fine...for the same reasons.
