Yep. Not necessary but adds extra gloss and sacrificial layer. And it can’t hurt, especially if you just like waxing.

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!Post Thanks / Like - 3 Likes, 0 Thanks, 0 Dislikes
Use sealant every 6 months and wax over it every couple of months. Also use spray wax after each weekly wash. Also use PA High Gloss every couple of months.

Yes, yes I have and will do again.

Answer: Ron made me do it.
Logic: It`s all Ron`s fault.

I enjoy waxing the car, but it`s nice knowing I have good protection under it.

I am really shocked that there are so many people still using wax, I thought the sealants, and coatings had bout an end to that for the serious car detailers. Don`t get me wrong. I love the look and performance of my P21S 100%, but it only wasted 3 weeks and picked up all kinds of contamination in that time. I just don`t have the time for that anymore.
To each their won, enjoy the wax my friends.

NO. Sure, I`ve tried it, but no more. IF a given LSP doesn`t give me what I want, I`ll just use something else.
If nothing els, topping a sealant with wax precludes adding more sealant, thus precipitating the kind of Big Job that I don`t do for years on end.

The Need to Bead
IMHO--there may not be a "need" to wax over a sealant, but for some of us it just allows us more garage time where it seems to be a lot more peaceful and tranquil than in some other rooms in the house.
