This I may have to look into. Seems like a great idea.

    Re: Economical drying aid.

While I guess it`s a really wimpy version that`s not truly comparable...I mix up 2oz IUDJ to 2gal water and use that. It`s more Drying Aid than SprayWax, yet seems to work/LSP almost as well as a genuine SprayWax like D156/OCW on vehicles that get washed frequently. Adding some of his Juice Boost might make it genuinely as good as those SprayWaxes but would up the cost from its current $4/gal.

Maybe the McKees version in that `tube would be just as cheap if you started with a bigger/more economical jug of concentrate, like if they offer it in gallons.

First time use this morning. THIS WORKED PERFECT AS A DRYING AID! Joe was right. This is my new go to drying aid. No smears or streaks. Left a stunning just looked waxed finish. Lubricity was great also. I could not ask for more.

PA DETAILER- Glad it worked so well, you sound really pleased.

    Was streaking/etc. an issue previously?

No. Not with any previous drying aids I have used.

Interesting, I didn`t have the best luck with my rinseless with carnuba in colder temps. I`m favoring more `polymery` products like Uber and IUJD for drying aids at this point. I`ll keep this one in mind though.

UWW+ at the waterless wash dilution of 1/2 oz/ 22 oz of water is really slick as a drying aid besides being economical and it leaves a nice little extra shine on the paint with no streaking even in cold weather.

Question for y`all. Would these qd`s or spray waxes used on wet paint as a drying negatively affect the drying ability of my griots pfm? I would hate to ruin good towels by using these products if that`s the case. I`ve never used a drying aid before so I`m very curious. I use fk1000p as my lsp if that matters.

It hasn`t impacted mine, but I`ve been washing them more promptly than I used to, not letting the stuff dry in them.

    Re: Economical drying aid.

Talking about cheap drying aids. I have recently tried a turtle wax and dry spray wax as a drying aid on our white suv. Its quite cheap product here in Australia and i was not expecting much. On top of it we had dry period however recently we have had about 1 wk of rain. Attached is a pic of a the roof. I was quite impressed with the bead prn for such a cheap product. I mean not the best but quite good. The pics were taken 1wk after application. Initially i thought that i had a wax underneath so i went back to my wash notes to confirm that i have only used the turtle wax product and a non wax car wash.

As the drying aid it also works quite well

PoweredByJenga- Hey, great sleeper product you found there, huh? I bet it`s closer to [INSERT Big Name Brand HERE]`s Spray Wax than some would like to think.

100% Agree with the TW product. I have used it in the past. Another sleeper is Megs shine as you dry. Another stellar OTC product!

I switched work over from D156 to this Mckee’s to be economical, at 8oz for a gallon of solution, it beats a gallon of D156 all day long. I also find that 8oz for a gallon of solution does a decent job as a rinseless, too.

Unless one gets a year`s supply each Christmas from the in-laws Heh heh, sorry, couldn`t resist as they did find a gift that I truly appreciate and that`s not easy.

I do find that the D156 is just perfect on a few surface that I`m (surprisingly, I guess) picky about, gives a slightly different look than anything else. But eh, those applications might be another of those "it`s just me.." things.

Im a big 156 fan too. I wonder how well it would "drying aid" at a 50/50 mixture which would bring the price a lot closer to this.
