    Blackfire LSP Dilema

So I just got done with an IronX snow soap bath, nanoskin sponge decon, BF GEP, and lastly BF AFPP.

The gloss looks good. Now my plan was to top it with MS paste wax.

I will take a picture of the car in the Morning, but what do you guys think?

Top it or leave as is?

    Anyone regret topping BF AFPP?

I use this combo during the warm weather months. The Midnight Sun won`t feel as slick as the Wet Diamond, but I think the look is fantastic!

BF WD with BF MS wax on top looked really good on my tuxedo black Taurus. It will knock down the slickness and also will not bead as well as just the sealant as mentioned, but I felt that the MS wax sheeted quite well. I will lay down a layer of AF Ultra Glaze and then either BF MS or WG Fuzion wax for this summer. I haven`t decided yet.

do you have MS spray wax?

    looks good

I agree.. MS paste will knock down the slickness of WDAFPP, BUT it really adds that extra dimension of shine

I have MS paste, spray, and Detailer, along with the BF WW.

If paste adds dimensions I will do it. Not too worried about slickness, it`s all about look

TuxedoTaurus- I seldom base any decisions on internet images...if you like how it looks now, I`d just stick with the (untopped) AFPP. IME it looks very "carnauba-like" for a sealant.

Eh, if I don`t like how a LSP looks I simply use something else (rather than doing the topping thing), but that`s just me and I get the feeling you want to indulge your Inner Autopian It sounds like you don`t like how it looks with only the AFPP for some reason, or at least feel it could stand improvement, so I somehow suspect that you won`t be satisfied until you at least try the topper.

I really like the look, but part of me keeps wondering if topping with give me that little extra.

its not called Wet Ice Over Fire for nothing

why don`t you top half the hood or half the roof and pull the tape line and see if you like

it will definitely cut down on the slickness. but it adds that buttery smoothness from a nuba

Wonder whether the topper will offer the protection of the AFPP by itself...I know you`re not too concerned about that, but I still wonder.

I know that I myself would *never* top any sealants again if only because it precludes adding more, and the AFPP doesn`t last all that long IME so I`d want to refresh it without starting over with the GEP.

EDIT: Heh heh, I just *knew* you were letting your Inner Autopian do that "but could it maybe somehow be *better*?!?" thing to you

It sounds like you really want to top it. Give it a final wipe with midnight sun spray wax. It`s quick and does a great job. I suspect you are going to use that as your maintenance product so why not just go for it.
