Spray waxes

This weekend I promised my sister-in law I would give her silver focus a quick going over. I am going to give it a good clean-up then use a spary wax because I am lazy I have 3 brands in my arsenal.

Optimium

HD spray

Pinnacle

Which of these would give the best shine and some longevity ??

Hands down IMO: Optimum - Looks good, up to 3 months of durability for me.


The Pinnacle is more of a booster wax but it does look nice.
The HD spray wax is a little harder to use but seems substantial. The look is nice. But that chemical smell just lingers.....

I agree with Troy. I treat the HD spray wax more like a liquid wax by applying with a yellow foam applicator. Great stuff but IMHO a tad too thick for a spray wax.

I have not used the other two but Optimum has never failed to amaze me.

I like Pinnacle XMT. I have not used Optimum in a long time but think the Pinnacle looks better.

Optimum has been long touted as having great durability for a spray wax.

And opt. has uv protection, that accumulates if you repeatedly use it.

The problem with spray waxes is over use. They are only designed as a monthly booster product, and not used like WW or detail spray. These products can dull paint if over used which defeats the purpose. Their ease of use can actually be working against you.

Depends on the product I suppose. OCW can streak if applied heavily and on warm paint. However the spray sealants or synthetic waxes haven`t been a problem. I can go to town with Wolfgang Spritz Sealant and even Liquid Suoveran with no hazing or streaking.

FWIW, since October I`ve been using OCW on the A8 as a Drying Aid at almost every wash. Zero downside, the car looks great.

I only used Optium and liked it. I also use Ardex Viper spray wax and like it also. it is thick, but works really well

pinnacle souveran spray? or xmt? ive used both xmt would last longer of course
souveran spray doesn`t last long at all but looks AMAZING while its there- I top pbl with it before car shows and meets

my vote goes for Optimum spray wax (have some I got from a trade but never used it)

I also like OCW. Should look great on the silver. This stuff is as easy to use as a detail spray but gives very decent durability.

I`d never really considered the OCW until I learned about Ford approving it for "Post-production Paintwork". I decided to use it on fresh repaints instead of my usual glaze-approach and it worked out so well that I just kept using it. Absolutly never woulda thunk it...
