I used that stuff back in the late 80s early 90s. It was light blue tooth paste consistency. Smelled like petroleum. Made the water bead and lasted longer than wax. Biggest downside was it oxidized and got darker over time. Very evident on an alpine white bmw.
You needed to buy a LG pre cleaner to remove the dark film and restore the color to the paint.

Pat:
You are not the only one who used Liquid Glass and DuPont`s Rain Dance in the `80`s. I REALLY liked the Rain Dance as it was as early form of a one-step cleaner wax/sealant. It did bead quite well.
Coral blue was another wax I liked. Seams to me it had some ultra-fine alumina compound in it that acted as the cleaning (polishing) agent in it. All I know is it took off bug splatter and fly specks from a white `83 Subaru I had while living in the rural upper Midwest.
I think the consumer-applied version of Liquid Glass is still available at AutoZone for about $28.00 for the tin-can with the Red 70`s Corvette on it. I liked it when it first came out. It was "expensive" even in the mid-80`s: about $10.00 or $12.00. It was great on my `85 red Toyota MR2 (Mister Two as my car-crazy friend called it).
Found it, Zymol Royale. A real steal now @ $9345 marked down from 10k. You would think at that price a person would get free shipping, wrong, don`t forget to add $7.52 for that.

Scottish company Mitchell & King has launched a limited edition car wax – the goldRush Rally. The GRV car wax boasts a gold shimmer and will protect the vehicle for up to 4 months. Stylish container milled from the finest grade Titanium, coated with 24ct Gold and encrusted with Swarovski crystals and 10 x 0.5-carat, F Colour, VS2, brilliant round cut diamonds. The goldRush Rally package also includes 2 24-carat gold rings, an expensive car shampoo, as well as the application of GRV wax by a Mitchell & King approved detailer. This is not the buck ninty nine Rally wax that I remember but hey, as has been mentioned, there are free refills. I`m not aware of a more expensive product than the Rally Wax but would love to see someone come up with one that was.

Use to use Liquid Glass and DuPont`s Rain Dance in the 70`s. To say the truth, these and Meg`s were the only one`s I saw in my local auto parts store in those days.

RainDance wasn`t (?isn`t?) bad as cleaner-waxes go. I`ve posted before about how my fave Aunt switched to that after her health issues put an end to the M07+M16 combo.
