    Issues with OCW over WGDGPS

Been a while since I`ve posted, but I`m a long time forum reader. I`ve been detailing for about 6 years. It`s a weekend hobby for me and now I`m pretty much down to maintaining our DD`s and occasional family/friend`s car.

I`ve noticed OCW is smearing on our DD`s. I recently used clay, HD Polish and topped with WGDGPS. That was a few weeks ago. Recently did a traditional wash and tried to use OCW after but it smeared quite a bit and was a pain to removed. OCW use to be so easy to use for me and provide an amazing gloss. I`m hoping you guys can give me some advise.

I`m thinking of switching to the Meg`s synthetic spray wax I`ve heard about. Or, since I am using primarily HD Speed and Reflect, switching my LSP to something like Poxy.

One other variable I need to mention is that my gallon bottle of OCW was sitting out in the garage all summer and got no use. In Arizona temps can get to 115 degrees plus so I don`t know if that affected it. It did not separate and I shook it well so I think the product is still good.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

    It may have "settled"

Shake the crap out of it, and try it then.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

I`ve used OCW on OptiSeal and FK1000P and never had a problem. My bottle also sits in the garage, but it`s fair to say the temp has never reached 115.

    UPDATE:

So I`m feeling a little foolish right now. I called Ron with Optimum yesterday and discussed the streaking issues. He gave me some tips, with one of them being to back off on the amount of product usage. In my mind I thought I was already doing this properly as I`ve used this product for years, but its been a while for a bucket wash for me so I just assumed I remembered how to use OCW.

Long story short, I bucket washed my Jeep this morning and just used a really small amount of OCW afterwards. It performed superbly! This Duh! moment reminded me that sometimes you just need to step back when you`re having a detailing challenge and re-think your process.

Thank you Ronkh and Vegas1 for responding to my post. Have a great weekend.
