I don`t really have anything to add but a thought.... Isn`t DoDo Micro Prime more of a prewax glaze? It could have possibly hid the defects temporarily? The two bucket wash could have removed the fillers from the paint? All speculation of course. I feel for ya!

My experience is very limited with Micro Prime. I`ve only used it twice. I did have a light filling effect, but I found most of the "glaze" seems to darken or wetten (made up word) the paint.

When used with a DA and a white polishing pad, I found Micro Prime strong enough to remove towel marks and light swirls, while leaving a flawless & extremely wet-looking shine.
