    Strip LSP with Rinseless Wash

Is there a wash, or combination of soaps, that I could use to strip LSP via a rinseless wash? Just looking for something to add to my detailing "bag of tricks".

I`ve used this once the car was clean:

Works well and has some "lube" to it. Of course, use multiple towels.

I have read a strong mix of Megs D114 will strip wax.

I add some to my IPA solution.

Do you have a rough estimate on ratios that you use? I was reading that 1oz per 2 gallons is normal and 1oz per gallon is for a heavy duty wash. At roughly 31c per oz it wouldn`t be too expensive to increase that ratio, especially compared to the opc and CGCWG combo I normally use. But that combo sure is effective.

Polymer sealants can be pretty tough unless they are already fairly degraded. One or two passes with 20% - 30% IPA solution or CarPro Eraser typically won`t totally remove them. I seriously doubt that anything short of abrasive polishes, a strong alkaline cleaner or panel wipe will really get the job done if you`re looking for a truly total removal.
Waxes are usually much easier to remove but some hybrids like the Collinites can also be very tenacious.

For 2 gallons I would use 2 oz, and IPA. But honestly I cant say for sure if it will strip all LSP. The reason I say that is I remember swanicyouth did a test on the glass and striping LSP was more challenging than I would have thought.

I would think your best bet is going to be to separate the process. Wash with Meg`s and dry with the IPA. I always wipe the paint twice with whatever `stripping agent` I am using.

The reason is some, particularly fresh, sealants are quite resistant to wiping. Also some waxes will tend to re-deposit on the surface as the alcohol dries. Going over each section twice ensures that the surface is as clean as it can be and minimizes the risk of re-despositing.

GTechniq Panel Wipe Coating Prep 500 ml.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

I mix APC in my bucket. I`ve used BF APC for this and worked well. Also griots paint prep is pretty bad ass as well!
