Using CG Citrus wash and Gloss

By most accounts, that I have read CG Citrus Wash and Gloss (CWG) is a pretty good shampoo so I ordered a gallon.
Some of the criteria I use in judging a product are, does it do what it`s supposed to do, and is it easy to use. For a shampoo you would think this would be easy? Because of the weather I have only used it twice but found it a nuisance to use and wonder if it ever got mixed up enough. My bottle didn`t exactly pour out like other shampoos, it kind of came out in a glob, even after shaking. Additionally there was a brown band of stuff inside the jug that I learned from CG was the gloss ingredients setteling out. They told me to shake it real well, which I did but the next time I went to use it things had settled out and I had to shake it all over again. Here is the question...I am wondering with the thick consistency of the stuff am I really getting it shook enough to have any confidence that when I pour a measured amount that I am getting the correct portions of shampoo and glossing agents? I have other good shampoos that I don`t have to shake the dog fire crap out of before use each time. I am suprised CG let this get out the door like this. I may have to relegate this to a stripping shampoo where it won`t make any difference if it`s mixed well or not?

Your overworking yourself if your shaking the whole damn gallon hahaha
Put some in a secondary container and use it in portions like that.

Citrus wash & gloss is an excellent soap. I like it because it can strip old wax/sealant and is pretty powerful cleaning ability, & that`s what I use it for.

Yes, every time you use it SHAKE WELL to get everything mixed up
and uniform texture. Hope this helps!

I agree and do the same a Colin with my Gallon of CW&G.

I shake the gallon really well to make sure everything is mixed. I then transfer 16-24oz into a smaller container. That way I only have to mix a small amount of it every time I want to use it.

I reduce my gallon to 8 quarts, diluted 50% with distilled water, as needed, not all at once.

When using, I simply shake the quart and double the suggested amount in the bucket. I use 1 ounce of mixed solution per 2 gallons for a maintenance wash.

It`s made no negative difference in suds, cleaning, lubricity or shine.

Citrus Wash & Gloss will separate after a while. I shake it well until the cloudy layer an clear layer mix well in bottle before pouring it out.

This is the consistency/appearance of my CWG after shaking when it was only a few degrees above freezing that day I used it. Sorry the phone made the color a bit greenish.

It may just float on top of water when temperature is just a few above freezing...

Mine turns clear on the bottom half and yellow on top half... it seems to mix back together when I shake it though. You think that is fine?

Mine also separates into clear and colored sections It seems to work fine. Obviously CG did not add anything to reduce the separation. I have never had a soap separate as much.
