    Master Blaster (Me Likey !!!!)

Well after eyeing up the Master Blaster for sometime I finally pulled the trigger on the Autopia Car Care sale. It arrived yesterday in a wonderful huge package from Fed Ex and I couldn`t wait to give it a try. I was a bit skeptical if this would be any better than my Sears 220hp heavy duty leaf blower but man was I wrong.

    I love this thing !!!!

It dries my car so much better than the leaf blower. It is so nice on the wheels and tires. I used to get small drips when using the leaf blower but not anymore.

I assume the drying improvement has to do with the heated air. I followed some other forums members recommendations and didn`t turn both motors on at once. I have a 15 amp circuits in my garage and didn`t blow any fuses

I didn`t have a set of ear plugs but I would probably recommend a cheap set for those that use it. I was a tad loud.

My only complaint is that the hose is somewhat cumbersome. Does anyone know if they make an extension to make it longer?

Congrats on your new purchase !
I would like to get one of those sometime too.

Im thinking, that if the hose size is the same as their Vacuums, then you can probably buy the extension hoses at the store here. They all just slide together to connect.

So, you ran both motors then and got that result you liked ?

Congrats, I had a friend buy an extension off of e-bay and he has had no problems with it.

Pat, call the folks at Autopia Car Care.com to see if they can get a extension hose from Metro for you. I do remember they make them for it. Happy Holidays!

Mine was delivered a little while ago. I was sitting on the couch when I heard something hit the door and the dog barked. Looked out the window and they were already driving off.

If it wasn`t so windy I would be washing my truck now

    Congrats Pat.

I know Metro makes a longer hose and AG used to sell it.

The better the condition of the LSP the easier it is to dry using the MB. I have not found a good correlation on what soaps may leave the paint in better condition to dry using the MB (if there is a correlation). I still see some dried spots occasionally so not sure if it is residual soap or something.

Yup I am close to pulling the trigger on this. I am wondering if I need the MasterBlaster(2 motors) or the smaller one with 1 motor? I would use it on my Vette,Pontiac G6 and new Chevy Equinox. Thanks,
    Steve

How does it work on u treated paint? Most of the cars I get have never been sealed/waxed. I`m sure beaded water flies off much quicker. I`m looking to buy this as well, I just want to make sure it`s easing my time and labor.

The one with two motors offers twice the blowing power and IMO, is well worth it.

I agree with Todd. The Vette and Equinox have large panels and the added power, even with great LSP, will be desired.

I have used my Master Blaster with just one motor as a test. You can do it with one, but the 2nd motor makes a big difference. I can nearly blow all the water off a vehicles hood or roof from one side of the car. It also really helps getting the water out of the cracks and crevices that tend to hold water until you start driving.

On un-treated paint the water does not roll off as easily. Just like you would expect. But the Master Blaster will get the job done. I find it really helps getting the water out of the cracks and crevices that tend to hold water until you start driving.

    One question for you Pat:

Would you consider this machine more tool or toy?
