Microfiber Towels--Which do you like for.....

I`ve been out driving it so much I didn`t even clean it yet! . I will clean it tommorow and post tons of pics. Wow I love this car!

So far my first year detailing I have purchased Sams Club 24 packs of mf towels. Some colors are better than others, weird i know maybe different suppliers. I learned how to wash them after damaging the first batch. (no hot water or dryers) Now i only wash warm and dry delicate. (low heat) What hot tips does anyone have for great towels and a good price for cleaning windows? The orange mf from Sams are still plush from proper washing but leave fine some hairs behind. I got a couple different sample towels from local detail supplier but wasn`t satisfied, and dont wanna waste time and money unnecessarily. Im a mobile detailer so sams got me started but now i want to step it up so i need plenty of replacements (24-48) when i do it. Thanks for replies!:notworthy:

The ones I got from Costco I wouldn`t trust on my paint.. But they are fine for cleaning under the hood or maybe windows.

As far as tips, I just hang mine out to dry instead of using the dryer.

my new plush towels i use on getting drips after my first pass with my water sprite chamois. i use a blower for crevices, and touch up with mf as i do it. The sidekick blaster from metro vac. my tip i was lookin for is a mf towel thats a glass cleaning favorite--thanks again --

vroom glass towels are great! 4 to a pack and lime green.

i have seen them at my local target, gonna try some and the waffle weave gray drying towel at lowes--i have a waffle towel from local supplier but it has a fuzzy finish to the towel compared to the one lowes has - which i think is actually a larger size drying towel but has a very clean looking knit(not fuzzy)--thanks again~X(

The 24pk from SAMS work fine, they dont scratch the paint at all. But I have used the $6 MF towels that do scratch the paint. that`s my 2 cents.

A lot of people say that when it comes to MF towels try to buy the most you can afford to avoid damaging your car paint. Most cheap towels tend to give bad quality. But in order to be somewhat safe you can do a cd test on your MF towels.

I usually suggest the Meguiars MF, although they have 100% polyester edging which can scratch, you just have to fold them carefully.

FWIW, I don`t buy into the MF hype. I only use shop rags and Bounty paper towels on my cars.:toetap05:

Be careful with paper towels. Many of them will scratch the clearcoat.
Good quality MF and well worn soft 100% cotton towels are the safest.
