SMR on a wool pad?? Obviously I don`t know everything about wool pads, but that doesn`t seem right to use a wool pad with SMR because the wool pad should be used for leveling, therefore there needs to be some good abrasives. Someone please correct me if I`m wrong. Would he be using FI-II??

    The file is 15.8mb

It`s great to be able to watch someone actually do this.

I have only done these jobs by hand, I think its time for a PC.

I was just gueesing..but I don`t see any problem using SMR with wool pad..since the SMR already contain a little abrasive, and the wool pad itself has a lot of abrasive capability (I still not confident enough to use it)...

it looked like an SMR...from the color of the bottle`s label

When David squirted the stuff on the pad, it definitely looked like 3M SMR for dark cars. Plus, like Langit said, the yellow color of the labels on the bottle looked like SMR. FI-II is white.

But the photos that intermezzo`d between segments kinda threw me off. Hehe

My only question is, he seemed to use a LOT more product than I thought was necessary. The majority of the people that have helped me with the PC use only a quarter-size dab for polishing that amount of surface.

When using a wool pad you need to use more product to keep the pad "wetter" so it does not burn the surface. A dry wool pad can burn quickly.

    LOL puterbum,

Yeah, it`s called multi-tasking. Get a little work done and learn how to use a PC at the same time. Hey, that`s productive..right?

I`m beginning to feel bad. I even engage in chats while working. I better stop before my boss reads this forum.
