Sorry Al, here you go.

14. pressure applied to wash mitts (this could mean a lot if you consider both extremes)
8. power rinsing vehicle very well prior to washing
3. rinsing mitt with stream of water (either prior to putting in rinse bucket or instead)
10. using quality drying towels
12. washing small areas at a time
13. Insuring the vehicle is actually clean before you dry it
7. washing top down

11. grit guards (more important if you don`t use the spray mitt method)
1. Two or more buckets (more important if you don`t use the spray mitt method)
4. using a blower to dry vehicle
5. soap lubricity
2. Foam cannon, foam gun
9. using a specific wash media (grout sponge, wool, mf)
6. more than one wash mitt (upper, lower)
15. just paying attention to what you are doing
16. special incantation

I should add I think it`s difficult to order all of these because if you do one it renders another less important or v/v. Also, some items help more against a few deeper scratches and some items help more against a ton of very fine scratches.
