Think about it.
Do you recommend the two bucket method with grit guards w/ONR or is that overkill? The 2nd bucket just has water to rinse the wash mitt but not to rinse the car. Do you do the wheel wells last?
I usually use the 2BM, just to make sure the microfiber gets clean. Grit Guards yes.
Correct. The 2nd bucket just has water to rinse the wash mitt but not to rinse the car.
Yes. The order is:Do you do the wheel wells last?

Nice job Bill!
You are truly one dedicated detailer:clap: The temp here in NJ is finally getting up to an acceptable level for me to go out and do an ONR wash on my DD.
Don`t you love when the neighbors come out and say "it is only going to get dirty again"?

You win the "Dedicated to a clean car" award.
That ONR is some good stuff for sure.

Did ya ever notice.....
Year after year those suffering snow and cold deprivation take the opportunity to revel in their climate and taunt those of us enjoying freezing our cojones off. On the other hand you don`t see thawing northerners yucking it up every time somebody`s town is flattened by a hurricane.
You don`t hear folks basking in the misfortune of others when wildfires sweep the Southwest nor do you hear snickering everytime California lurches in an attempt to make Nevada waterfront property. Every climate has it`s cross to bear. But when it snows up to yer ears and it`s cold enough to cause terminal "shrinkage" in the nether regions the southerners (who are mostly Yankee transplants anyway) kick up their heels with glee and rub it in. You don`t hear us har-har-ing when the damning summer humidity is sapping your precious bodily fluids and copulating bugs are splattering your Souveran.
My only conclusion is freezing may be conducive to cultivating class and restraint. Either that or those brain cells that conjure up those types of thoughts may have been frozen into oblivion.

Believe me I have suffered through my share of cold snowy car washes.
The tune will change in June. Those in the south will have their crying time again song playing.
Alot of folks have been asking me about winter washing and this is a very good thread to read up on by Bill.

I agree. With the highs in the mid 20`s and the nights getting into the ****s, I would have to drain my hoses and such after each wash. Easier just to use ONR. If I obsolutely need to spray off the car I will drive down the street and put a dollar or two in the car wash the spray the car down then go home and do an ONR wash.
Edit: The software edited my comment for how cold the nights are getting. I am guessing you guys know what I said.
