Help! How do I clean these grills?

Hey all! I have been lurking in the background for months and finally decided to join in. I am so impressed with the expertise you all have - it has helped me tremendously - so thanks!

I need your help/advice on how to clean the hood grills on my MB SLK. They are such a pain! In the past I have used Q-Tip swabs with APC but that takes forever. A small toothbrush is to big to fit into the holes and doesn`t get into the backsides of the ovals.

I used to pop them out and also the BMW`s too. Some models are harder then others. I wash them in a bucket of soap.

I`ve always liked AIO`s to clean grills. If you can find a thin dowel and wrap it in MF with AIO it has done a pretty good job for me. It takes a lot of time though.
