    Two Bucket System

As long as I`ve been detailing my vehicles, I`ve never heard of a two-bucket washing system. What does this entail? Other than two buckets...

    fixed it for ya!

Well, that`s MY opinion at least. I prefer the DirtGuard over the GritGuard. The GritGuard just floats around in the bucket and stirs up the water from what I have seen.

OP, even with 2 buckets make sure you dip the wash media into the rinse bucket AND rinse it with the hose outside the bucket... or rinse with hose, dip in rinse bucket, rinse with hose again... hosing it down gets a lot more dirt out than just `washing` it in the rinse bucket

I see some buckets have a lit around the top, looks like it would be for a screw on lid, correct? seems like a good idea, does PAC have something like this?

IMO, the only thing I would add to the thread would be that if you have light dirt/dust, you could most likely get away with using one bucket + a guard, even with ONR.

    Talking

The Two Bucket system composes of this:

1 is for the rinse water and the other is for the wash water.

You dip your brush or sponge in the wash water after you rinse your vehicle first!

Then you dip your dirty brush or sponge in the rise water to get the dirt out, and then just repeat.

I use it all the time when i wash!!

    Question

Is ONR really that more effective than a conventional wash additive, like say Meguiar`s Gold wash liquid? I always use my two buckets w/guards, but I keep seeing references to ONR.

It has its places. I prefer a traditional wash, but ONR is more than often the better choice in most cases. Mostly because I dont have a CR Spotless or a pressure washer.

ONR is pretty amazing stuff but I have found if the car is really dirty it is less effective.
