    Foam...just because...

Its pretty apparent from the first pull of the trigger that, especially for well maintained (and coated) cars, a foam cannon/pressure washer setup is of dubious usefulness...and yet it`s finally time to try the 4L jug of Gyeon Foam I bought at somebody`s Holiday sale last xmas. Seemed like a good idea at the time!

Picked up a $15 Duschin (sp?) foam cannon off of Amazon at some point last Spring and finally ordered a SunJoe 3301 (or 3001...one of those) pressure washer last week; you know...so I can use it around the house and stuff. Clean patios And sidewalks are happy patios and sidewalks!

Since I have it now, though, may as well use it with the foam cannon.

Gyeon Foam, mixed 1:5 with hot water. I think the +/- knob on the cannon/lance is supposed to make thicker foam at the - side so it was a turn or 2 from full `minus`. Made some all right foam I guess.

We`ll see how long/many times I use the setup once the newness wears off but figure if I semi-permanently hang it in the wall with dedicated fittings and such, I might stand a better chance. Definitely need a longer hose on the gun.

    Just hadda try it.

I just picked up Gyeon Foam during last big sale since its coating friendly, I have yet to use it. I`ve used other soaps in foam canon in the past when the car wasn`t coated and was really dirty to help with cleaning and lubrication.

That looks like the perfect foam/water/air ratio. I`ve never foamed before, but it seems to me the thick shaving cream type foam would not emulsify as well as the consistency of your foam.

Love any C5. Except the 98 Indy Pace Cars

    This.

A two-inch thick layer of foam does nothing to help clean the paint.

    Re: Foam...just because...

Exact same setup that I have....cheap foam cannon with the SunJoe SPX3000. Tested three soaps the other night....Poorboys Super Slick and Foam, Griots Brilliant Finish, and CG Honeydew Snow Foam. Honeydew foamed the best, followed by Poorboys next, and then the Griots. Out of the SunJoe (2030 psi/1.76 gpm), none produced the uber-thick shaving cream foam, but I don`t really think it buys you anything. For what it`s worth, I`ve always thought of the Griots as more of a `bucket` soap anyway, and it`ll likely be in the bucket after I pre-soak and rinse with one of the other two. Any of them will suit me for what I really want it for....removal of road salt/de-icer come the winter time.
