Hot water pressure washer

So I ordered a foam cannon and should be here shortly. Question is at work we have a industrial hot water pressure washer for those tuff to get clean jobs. I think it gets close to 200 degrees. Would the foam cannons handle that much heat going through it. Thanks

I`d sorta be worried about sudden temp change on paint. As I said, just my worry.

Gotta go with Ron here. I don`t know that I`d want to hit the paint with 200 degrees.

I`ve used our`s set at around 150-175 degrees with no issues, with paint or with the soap cannon

Thanks for the quick replies. It`s meant for heavy equipment and grease. I`ve used it on the dump trucks but don`t get real close to paint with the heat on and it works out okay with a nice soft spread tip.

This is the unit I use at work for our rubbish trucks and for my Toyota have for years. Biggest thing to worry about is the power it has with a 15 degree tip on it if you get close to a rock chip it can get under the edges and make it bigger, if you use a 25 or 40 degree tip should have no worries. On the plus side it will melt tree sap and help remove it eaiser.

If the paint on the hood of a car has been been measured at around 165deg F in the sun and the car is driven in say, Arizona, and the combined heat from the engine and the sun raises it higher, perhaps even close to 200deg F, I am pretty sure you will be ok using your heated pressure washer.

How close to 200deg F is the water coming out of the tip anyway? At what pressure ? By the time it goes through the air and hits the vehicle with that wide tip (which is all I ever use for my pressure washer), it cant be even 200deg F anyway..

The same paintwork with even less coats in the engine compartment is subjected to even higher temps from the engine, and the exhaust manifolds, some cats, etc., and it seems to make it through that too..

Heated anything will always clean better than cool anything..

As always, you would want to perhaps from a distance wet the car down to get it warmed up if its really cold out, and then have at it..
