Can anyone tell me if they have used the clay sold by Serious Performance ?

    It is described as .............

The Serious Performance clay bar is a 100 gram, medium softness, fine cut detailing clay designed for light to medium duty work. Our detailing clay works in a broad temperature range (from 40 to 100 degrees F) and on variable paint surface conditions. It is effective in removing bugs, tree sap, light road tar, paint overspray, brake dust, industrial fallout and any other contaminants that adhere to the paint finish. It is easy to use, and safe for all paint finishes, including clear coats. The 100 gram bar is made using a plastic clay formula that`s easy to mold and knead.

    1 bar Ă‚£7.49

    2 bar Ă‚£13.99

    3 bar Ă‚£19.99

I have only used the Megs Clay before and wanted to get some more but this is cheaper but is it better ?

Any other places to get clay in the UK ?

    Thanks

I`ve used it and it`s great - in fact it`s the only clay I use now. It`s also the exact same clay as the Sonus grey clay (at least that`s my assumption, considering it`s the same colour, texture and wrapped in the exact same wrapper which includes details of the manufacturer).

I tend to buy three at a time, just to make use of the offer.

As Ben says, I`ve also found no difference with SP`s grey clay of the blue clay from ClayMagic........except the colour.

i used serious`s clay and found it slightly aggresive, and it marked my paint , i.e left micro marring that needed to be polished out afterwards, i wont use it anymore and prefer the megs clay or sonus green

Well I never clay unless I`m going to polish anyway so that doesn`t bother me - I`d rather have it slightly more aggressive and get the crap off, rather than be there all day trying with a less aggressive clay..

I`m sure it was/is ultimately manufactured by 3M - seem to recall Alex telling me this a while back

Update - Clearkote clay is 99% sure to be 3M manufactured. SP`s own clay is Sonus brand.

After the knuckle rapping SP got on a previous post, Alex PM`d me this info so it`s straight from the horse`s mouth so to speak!
